You’ll love our handmade waffle cones, rolled right in front of your eyes on the original four iron waffle machine, built in 1905. When the weather is nice, you can find a member of the Doumar family and the waffle machine parked right outside of the diner, so your family can watch the magic happen from the car.

We were in the area so didn’t have to drive too far out of our way to get a quick, tasty curb side meal. The draw for me is the history of the waffle cone. It’s also just neat to go to an old fashioned drive up spot. So much better than regular fast food…

Affordable, delicious, and fast. Not in the best neighborhood but totally worth the trip. It was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives several years ago. You can drive in or eat in. There’s a nostalgia feel here and I love it. I would make the drive from Richmond to eat here.

Food was quick to arrive. The atmosphere of a diner is a great change. They have a lot of parking. We arrived on a Saturday night and it was only half filled (but busy). Best of all is the cheap price. Can’t beat it!

Came here for the first time after a swim meet. It was a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot was packed! A waitress came out to our car to take our order. We told her this was our first time, she gave us a menu, and told us what to do when we were ready to order. We placed our order and we were expecting our order to take a while to be made because of how busy the place was but to our surprise, it came out in about five minutes! I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a sweet tea. It was all hot and fresh. I kind of had to eat in a rush but the food was good. May try one of their cones and ice cream next time.

Abe Doumar is the inventor of the ice cream cone and cone machine in 1905. Highly recommend stopping inside, having something to eat and check out the original cone machine still in use today. The barbeques are large and tasty and the ice cream and homemade cones are definitely worth the experience.
