This Chinese restaurant was a nice find in KTown. They offer self-serve hot pot & dry pot. It is charged by weight with an 1 lb minimum.

The hot pot was whatever…that’s what my husband got. But the dry pot? Omg! Some of the best dry pot I’ve had, and definitely the best dry pot I’ve had in LA. Food from the Xian province is my all time favorite food, so I’ve had a lot of it. I did mild spicy and added “extra numb”and it was perfect. Any spicier and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it. My husband got mild spicy for his hot pot and I didn’t think it was spicy at all. Get the dry pot and add the extra mala, ya’ll. And the service was very friendly and the space was clean. Parking was $5 for the valet…we found it worth it because parking in Koreatown is the actual worst.

Wow! The flavor for this place is off the hook!!!! The service was great and fast! I went during lunch time so it could be different if you’re going around dinner. If you love spicy food, order your plate extra spicy!

If you’re craving for a late night soup this is the place to be. The selection of meats and vegetables are good and the broth for the wet soup is really good and spicy for the spicy lovers out there . The only problem I have is that there isn’t a lot of selection of broths that you can get but overall the meal that was very satisfying and I can’t complain. If you are a soup lover then this place should be on your radar to try. I will definitely save this spot as one of my go to eats whenever I go to a concert in Los Angeles afterwards

You pick your ingredients and the chef turns it into a hotpot for you, and you pay by the total weight of the ingredients. Neat setup. The ingredients provided are of good quality, and the chef did a great job of turning our somewhat randomly picked items into a very nice hotpot. I wonder what the wildest setup the chefs have had to do, like what if someone just asks for 3 pounds of bean sprouts to be turned into a hotpot?

Great self serve hot pot/dry pot spot. I got the hot pot & was able to try a dry pot as well. Both were amazing but I do lean more towards the hot pot.

3 days before, i had MALA in Singapore’s Chinatown and that was one of a best, however after i tried this, i gotta say this is even better 11/10. Will definitely come back for it! It’s very flavorful and LOVE how spicy it is. The mala chips is 11/10 too! Recommend it.

What do you do when your dinner partner wants soupy Chinese dish, and you want a stir-fried one? Well, you can come to this restaurant. When you go into a hotpot place, they exclusively sell hotpot, which is reasonable. Drypot place? Only sell drypot. Not in this restaurant! You get to have both flavors.

Pricing is ok although in my opinion sauce charge is unnecessary. I think this is the only hotpot that opens until 1.30 am in LA area

It doesn’t taste good, and everyone in that restaurant were really unfriendly, so I don’t feel good. Just go to another malatang restaurant. I was really overjoyed, but I’m disappointed. The menu was too expansive. If you revise these things, it will be better restaurant.
