Placed an order online at 8:08pm was given a wait time of 30-45mins. 2 hours later I called the store because my 4 year old was crying hungry. I was rudely answered by Patrick who identified himself as a manager. He told me there was nothing he could do. The driver was somewhere with my pizza. He refused to cancel my order and give me a refund. He told me I was holding up his work and just making someone else’s order even later. He was very RUDE! Said if your wanting free food I can’t help you I said I just want my money back and your rudeness isn’t helping. He then hung up on me.

Took 2 hours to get order delivered. On a Tuesday. No call. No answer when we called. Could not cancel. And the app did not update delivery time until the food was half way here. Ordered thru PapaJohns app. Driver was nice, not his fault. Kids love this pizza so we order PJ often luckily not on HHI.

They sub their deliveries out to door dash and do not mention this up front. Would not be an issue if they didn’t wait until the pizza was done and sitting under a lamp to get a dasher to come pick it up. The delivery eta I got initially was an hour over. It’s not like I didn’t tip 20% either.. but yeah I guess I’m lucky to be a customer.

I went inside to pick up my pizza and the employee was onthe phone (I could tell it was a personal call) he just looked at me and said name in a very rude tone. He grabbed my pizza and started putting my order in to the register. Meanwhile a customer behind me tells a kitchen staff member his name and gets his pizza right away. I was confused by that since I was having to sign a receipt while he didn’t but I didn’t say anything. I was not expecting this pizza to be any good based off the customer service but I took it home and of course, there was a beard hair, not only on the pizza but the cheese bread too. This place is disgusting and I wish I had looked at the reviews before I ordered. I contacted papa johns support and gave a complaint because I was not going back. I hope to get my money back

Gave this place a couple different tries but this is the most atrocious and unfortunate experiences. Ordered some late lunch/early dinner and couldn’t even eat an entire pizza. The pizza itself was stuck to the box on one of the two pizzas we ordered. If I managed to peel the pizza away, al the toppings slid off. Completely inedible and utterly disappointing. Clearly Hilton Head has horrible Chain Food presence as all the pizza joints here are horrible. Papa John’s is no exception.
