Came by after work for dinner and drinks with a friend. Ended up sitting at the bar on the first floor – really nice and chill bar area – not too many people there when we first got there right after work. Started to get more packed as the night continued.

Came for Friday happy hour (6-8 pm). Cocktails are $10 and rail drinks are $8. Great atmosphere but service was slow. Didn’t mind too much because we were having a good time, but did find it odd the waitress came to our table only a few times over the course of 3 hours. Also, 20% tip is included, which wasn’t super clear on receipt.

Bar Pilar is a narrow bar with an upstairs dining room. We ate downstairs in the bar. It’s a bar, so was a little noisy, but were still able to have a nice conversation. Service was excellent. The food was fantastic, both in presentation and how it tasted. We had the roasted vegetables, butter chicken and a dumpling appetizer – all wonderful. The cocktails were tasty and had enough alcohol in them to justify the price. I don’t think you can go wrong eating here unless you are looking for someplace really quiet. I never went upstairs.

Amazing experience! May and Bella complimented us the moment we walked in and provided the most wonderful service, my friend and I felt like we were part of the family. Amazing food and strong drinks! Highly recommend.

Food was really good, but service was not. Both the upstairs bartender and waitress seemed really annoyed that we were there. Took our drinks before we were done and when we inquired about it, the bartender was extremely rude (came to our table twice after that to make passive aggressive comments about how he “wasn’t sure if we were done yet to clear the table”). When I’m spending $20 on a cocktail, I don’t want to be made to feel guilty for asking to finish it. Unfortunately, we won’t be back. Good food wasn’t enough to make up for repetitively rude service.

Absolutely loved the customer service here. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It was my first time here, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The food is like an Asian and Latin fusion (shrimp tempura tacos, guac burger, or zucchini fritters with sambal sauce). Normally, I’m not a huge fan of fusion cuisine but they married the 2 cuisines perfectly here. I had the braised pork steam buns (2 per order) and the shrimp tacos (3 per order) — Both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the shrimp tacos as they were light, but packed with flavor!!! The cocktails were also great. Would definitely love to go back and try some more, even though it’s a far drive from where I live. Would absolutely recommend!!

The WORST experience. Upstairs bar was rude. Barely anyone in his section. Got my order wrong after we waited forever. Then waited again for my shrimp. Told us he would switch to hiphop when all the “white” ppl leave. I actually enjoyed the music. Won’t be returning. I really didn’t even want to tip bc woah. Nice cup though.

If you’re looking for a calmer option for dinner and drinks, you can’t go wrong here. The atmosphere is quiet lively and the service is on point. Our bartender was excellent gave us great recommendations from the happy hour menu (which is extensive) all of which were good. One thing worth trying if you can make it for happy hour is the Pilar Burger; you can get bacon, burger, and chicken all on it at once and it’s insane. Totally worth checking out.

We came here after being added to the Ted’s Bulletin 1hr and 45 minute wait list. If people knew how awesome the food is here, I’m guessing they wouldn’t willingly wait in that line. We ordered the pork hash and the barbecue chicken pancakes entree and the food was simply heavenly. Our server, Lissa, was wonderful too. Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. So glad we came here!

I usually love this place which is why i still give it a 4 but i only liked this meal. The quality of the beef i had was good but i didnt like the kimchi sauce that accompanied it. Pate was good and the dessert pie was tasty.
