Summer Case
We decided to try something new today and came to Marion for lunch. We decided on BBQ and wanted to try OBI’s. It definitely did not disappoint. The rib tips are so tender and they taste amazing. The Mac and BBC geese is creamy and the bbq pulled pork sandwich was spectacular. We will definitely be coming back!! Our server was nice and on top of everything as well.

This place is AMAZING! I love the macaroni bowl with brisket. My husband got the 3 meat platter (brisket, pulled chicken and meat candy with mac and cheese, coleslaw, and beans). The brisket is moist and tender. My husband really likes the candy. It’s just ever-so-slightly on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. We’ve been twice, and neither time have they skimped on portion sizes. The staff is amazing as well.

(Long Post but worth it)Ordered the 2 meat platter off door dash and let me just say this is some of the best bbq I’ve had in a while from a restaurant. The rib tips were flavorful and the bbq sauce is really good, it gives off a fresh cracked black pepper taste to me which I loved!! The wings were nice and crunchy also. The collard greens were to die for literally so so good, the Mac and cheese and corn bread were also really good. The cornbread is different then what I’ve ever had, so wonderful. This place is it!! I definitely recommend. My husband has the pulled pork sandwich and it was nice and packed with meat. Overall worth it and we’re very satisfied and definitely ordering again!!

If you’re hungry and you want to eat immediately, this is the place! Great service and wicked good eats, seasoned to perfection. Unique vibe, perfect for the hungriest nerd! I ordered the Mac and cheese topped with brisket and it was SO filling! This one makes the recommendation list!!

I drive through here a lot and Love bbq and decided to give these guys a try. The beans are definitely not homemade, the Coleslaw was soupy and warm,,,and,,worst of all, my brisket sandwich looked like someone had put their hand on it and put all their weight on it. It was literally smashed flat. I had ordered takeout and was there when it was being made in the kitchen and i was the only customer around 820pm,,,so its not like they were super busy,,definitely not cool. Combined with it being very dry and tasteless, it was a waste of money and anticipation. My girlfriends salad and smoked turkey were good,,but how hard is it to screw up a salad? The only good thing was the customer service of the young man at the register, he was prompt, efficient and friendly,,,Though the manager next to him shouldn’t keep his personal drinks in the cooler near drinks for the customers to buy, as I almost bought a coke and would have drank it had he not intervened to say it was his and had already been opened. Overall, a pretty bad experience. I will Definitely not be going back.

I’m excited to have a different restaurant choice in downtown Marion and Obi’s fits right in. We found the atmosphere fitting for this type of eatery and I enjoyed my beef brisket sandwich (if you look at the picture, know that I asked for the bbq sauce on the side). We will be back for more. This place is clean, fun, and new… and I’m looking forward to see how they develop. Lots of parking available from any of the nearby parking lots or street spaces. You should definitely check it out!
