Not only is a pork roll focused restaurant a fantastic idea, but they perfectly executes this classic NJ staple breakfast sandwich. Ample amount of pork roll cooked just right, gooey over medium egg, melted cheese and a very soft round roll. Was craving another one all day and can’t wait to have it again.

Visited this spot after going to the red bank farmers market for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. We got three sandwiches and some tots. Everything was great and big enough to save half of each sandwich for a lunch later. I would suggest reading the timeline wall for some interesting facts while you wait.

The sandwiches are so good I drive over 40 minutes just to eat here. Aside from the classic PEC, Johnny takes a bunch of popular sandwich types and uses pork roll as the meat which I haven’t seen anyone else do (my personal favorite is the Cubano). The place is clean and Johnny and his team are great. Would 100% recommend!

I first discovered Johnny’s Pork Roll from his food truck in Asbury Park. My partner and I couldn’t pick which sandwich to get, so we got three, shared them all, and each one was amazing. Then we went back the next day because we were hooked. Fast forward to when he opened up this location in Red Bank, I make it a point to stop and grab a sandwich whenever I get even remotely close to the area! They’ve got the crispiest, tastiest pork roll you can imagine.

Got the Western Pork Roll Sandwich. Absolutely delicious, full of flavor, great value for the size of the sandwich. Definitely recommend. Place was very clean, classic counter diner vibe, staff were very friendly and got my sandwich pretty quick.

Nothing pairs better with a stormy ocean view than these amazing sandwiches!! We happened to be rolling past North Eats in Asbury Park and noticed the truck was open (!!) and had the Original, the Grilled Cheese, and the Reuben. If you’re in the area go show some love!!

The man himself , the pork roll don blessed my sandwich with his hands. It was that much better. Had the classic pork roll egg and cheese – and the grilled cheese (pictured) and the Cubano — all legit and really good. The staff is very welcoming and feels like an intimate sandwich speakeasy / old school greasy spoon.
