We generally like Outback for its service and attention to detail in the Durham and Chapel Hill area. We tried this Outback when we were on vacation over Christmas. We also appreciate its gluten free menu. However, at this Outback, we had a poor experience. We ordered 2 salads, a bowl of soup and a dessert, with no main meal. We jus dropped in for a quick bite. After 45 minutes, we finally got out order. The chicken on my salad was warm, not hot. My wife ordered a gluten free salad, which came with croutons, but should not have. And the dessert we ordered was wrong. It was clear the waitress didn’t check the orders for accuracy when she picked them up. She brought the salad back into the kitchen and all they did was pick the croutons off the salad, leaving one on the salad and brought it back out. Anyone who deals with gluten free should know how dangerous that is to a celiac or someone who can’t have gluten. At the end, the manager was kind enough to comp the meal, but it does leave a sour taste in our mouths for Outback’s consistency nationwide. Hope they can adjust at this one and make it a great experience.

The worst OSH I’ve ever eaten in, two times. I give up. Service bad. The waiter disappeared for long periods. Food mediocre at best. Solution: By higher quality food, hire more help, train them well.

Used to love this place. Had not been there in a while. They completely changed the menu. Not sure if they changed ownership, or vendors or what, but it was sad to see our plates with the food they have now compared to what it used to be.

The steak is not bad. Except for the needle-grilled tuna, the other appetizers are very ordinary. Although the sauce of his bread is very fragrant, the texture and taste of the bread itself is not very good. The service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. The restaurant is decorated in American style. The price is not very cost-effective.
