First time coming here and I was blown away! I have been wanting to go to a diner all my life and this place did not disappoint. The food came out within 15 minutes and was pretty great! The service was so awesome and everyone was so sweet! Definitely coming back here.

I used to come here often when it was Route 66 and have been here just a few times since it changed hands. I live in the area but am usually going in the other direction so don’t get to this area very often. Don’t think I’ll be coming back to this restaurant after this latest experience though. A very rude girl with a long blonde ponytail was my waitress. She almost could not have been ruder or more haughty if she tried. No customer service skills whatsoever. Just a lot of attitude and disdain. Same with the cook. I’m a friendly person and have worked in food and beverage in the past. Many years of experience actually. So I came in with a smile and friendliness that was not only rebuffed but basically sneered at by both of these young women. In addition, my sandwich was horrible. The meat was overcooked and on at least a third of the sandwich it wasn’t even on the bread but instead laying on the plate leaving close to half of it just bare bread. Ridiculous that they are working in this place and are allowed to behave this way.

Like the fact they bread their own chicken and pork, plus make their own hamburger patties, but the flavor is about average. The fries are fresh cut and probably the best on the menu. Kitchen seemed fast and service was extra friendly. Milkshakes were below average to me. Prices were about right, kid options were flexible. Dining room was hot and there were a few flies pestering us. Get the tenderloin sandwich and be sure to add salt & pepper to it. Lots of parking room.

Daughter and I stopped in this afternoon. There were some customers in the place and there were also empty tables, so they were swamped. When we walked in this older guy was sitting behind a counter kind of thing and he just stared at us. He never said a word, just stared. We took a seat in a booth, close to a table with people and we sat there while the server was taking orders at another table. We sat there, and sat there, and sat there, and sat….and…….after 10 minutes we got up and left. Definitely will not be going back.

The people were very nice and attentive! Unfortunately, the food isn’t that great. The catfish was mushy inside. The tots were soaked in grease. That usually happens when the oil isn’t hot enough in the fryer. The German Chocolate cake was amazing, though!
