We came to this Saloon sooo many years ago and it always stuck in my mind that I wanted to come back to it someday in the future again. We just happen to be RVing at the KOA Campground down the street in Hayward and we just happen to drive by it to our surprise forgetting it was in this area. So the next morning we came here for a yummy breakfast, Dawn took great care of us as our server and helpful fishing tips by another lady who worked there. We love the welcoming atmosphere of this place, plus it’s so unique and quaint! Come check it out, see for yourself this place is really cool!

Our Server was amazing super upbeat and fun. Definitely short staffed but that didn’t affect her attitude and made our meal enjoyable. The food was also delicious.

We were passing by and decided to stop. The Wednesday brisket sandwich was really good, and hubby did the byob burger. He said the burger was good, but he will definitely come on a Wednesday for the brisket again. Service was good, with no issues, and we had an attentive server.

Me & my husband are Bobbie Saturday regulars. She is the best bartender! Her drinks are always consistant, the bar is always clean & she can keep up with a packed bar.

Great atmosphere with all the ceiling decorated with old tools, outdoor sporting goods and animal mounts. Very rustic like.

We came in with a group of six. We all had one drink and drank the drinks. We asked for our bill and was flabbergasted by the $42 dollar bill. My wife asked for a detailed description, only to find out that they think Smirnoff and Windsor are top shelf there according to the waitress. At $7.00 for a drink, I can’t see you having any local business. Your charging cities or airports pricing. We paid the bill and tipped her $9.00 and told her that we won’t be back. All six of us thought they were high on their drinks. I would hate to see the price of Johnny Walker or Crown Royal. We stopped In at another bar on our day trip to have a round of the same drinks and paid $22.50. Your drinks were not worth the almost double the price.

We stopped by the Sawmill for lunch, expecting typical bar food. To our delight, they had a “shore lunch” of perfectly breaded walleye, served with choice of potato and steamed fresh vegetables. Delicious!

We ordered carry out, and they patiently answered or questions about the menu. Very helpful. It was a unique place; we wish we could have stayed, though we had our dogs with us and our hotel was further on.
