Simply beautiful castle. The service was impeccable to say the least. The atmosphere was castle like and awesome. The dungeon was definitely on point. Every course was gorgeous although my filet had a lot of gristle and the asparagus was under cooked. The prime rib was over cooked. Our waitress (Amanda?) was very polite and friendly. Truly an excellent experience. There are some who claim this castle is haunted.

I stopped at the castle at 10 a.m. and found it was open for dinner but after explaining that I was interested in photos while cycling thru the area the manager allowed me to wander around the house and take all the photos I wanted. There is a outstanding menu so I’m planning to come back.

Beardslee is my all- time favorite restaurant & it never disappoints! It looks & feels like something out of a fairytale. The landscaping is gorgeous no matter what time of year you go. The waitstaff are always very friendly & the service is great. The food is the best around. Perfect for a romantic night out or with a group. I highly recommend!

It is a pretty neat building, but the entrance is on the side. Main floor is the “Castle” dining, a more formal and expensive area on the main floor. The bottom floor, “The Dungeon”, was where we headed. Several of the side dining areas used to be cells- the original metal barred doors are still there. They have a really neat bar area with a unique, coppered topped bar. The beer cheese dip with pretzel segments was truly wonderful. The 1/2lb hamburger was well cooked and massive. The fries were excellent. The service was excellent. It was a touch chilly, but it IS the below ground level. It was a fine meal, and well worth the trip.

Our daughter’s wedding was held at Beardslee castle this past Saturday. It was such a beautiful event! Our wedding coordinator Lynn provided tremendous assistance and guidance throughout the preparation for the wedding, the wedding itself, and after the event. Lynn is a true professional, simply the best! Our warmest thanks go to her, the Chef (the guests raved about the food!) and all the staff that helped make this event such a success. We love Beardslee castle and all the people we met there. We shall definitely be back. With much gratitude. The Ritters.

The castle was very busy but still got our party of 4 in without reservations. You could tell the wait staff was busy but they handled it well and no customers could tell the difference, everyone was laughing and talking and all were happy with food.

What do eels, a duck and espresso have in common? They were excellent. The barbecue eel was cooked very well with a wonderful teriyaki sauce but the sesame slaw really sealed the deal. Grilled duck breast was incredibly tender with a wonderful side of veggies, rice and quinoa. Blueberry creme brulee for dessert and a ristretto to top it all off.
