Pricey yet very flavorful. We usually order the Lamb Biryani with mild spice & the vegetarian Navratan Korma with medium spice. The Aloo Saag and Paneer Tikka Masala are very tasty too. The last times we went, the prices they were charging in the restaurant wasn’t reflective of the prices they have on their website. The staff can be a little rude sometimes too, try not to take it personally. They usually don’t give utensils for takeout, so ask for them if you need them. Lastly, for a place that has such flavorful entrees & savory items it surprises me that their desserts taste kind of bland. I was expecting more spices in their desserts, not really worth the $6. The rice pudding was small & both the desserts were just one-dimensionally sweet. That Navratan Korma is amazing though! So addicting!

This little tucked away Indian place has good indian food and I try many. The sauces were not watery and the chicken was good. The chicken saag was the perfect spice. The bears were pretty good too. Also the bathroom was clean with nice mountain picture…always good to not have a dirty bathroom

Outstanding Indian food. Delicious and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered was excellent. The owner was so friendly and welcoming! She went out of her way to accomodate a family member who has a gluten and dairy sensitivity. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area. Thanks for a great meal!

I have to say… This place is amazing!! I truly cannot get enough of this place! It is hidden in a corner out of sight, but when you find it, you will not be disappointed. Food is incredible! All made from scratch, and to order. So if you do go, plan on waiting a bit. Great service and remember tips always make someone’s day brighter.

We visited Joshua Tree in Feb and was craving Indian food after our long days of hike. We found this place on Google maps as we stayed in dessert spring and the 1st night we visited, they couldn’t accommodate us since they were that busy with online orders and dine in reservations. So we waited to go for lunch 2 days later before leaving for home. The food was totally worth the anticipation. It was just full of distinctive flavors and aromas. The owner was extremely nice too. Even though we had a 9 hr drive home, we still ordered 2 days worth of food to go after dining full stomach. . I wish they would open one in the Bay Area but will definitely return if we do visit Palm Springs again.

Best Indian food I’ve had in the desert. Unfortunately only takeout, so call ahead to avoid the wait. Roti took me back, and dishes requested spicy were actually spicy and good. Vegetable Biryani and Chaat were standouts.

Sooooooooooooo goood! Everything we tried was delicious!!! Visiting from Texas and so pumped that we found this gem. We didn’t realize it was to go only when we arrived, almost left, but very glad we placed an order and waited. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back next time we visit!

I was visiting from out of state and drove over 45 minutes to have a nice meal. We were told no dine in. I explained I was visiting California from out of state and the place in California I drove from was very far. I even asked if we took the food “to go,” but ate at the table, if that would be ok. (They would not have dishes to clean or need staff to wait on us) We just wanted to sit inside and eat because if I took my food to go it would have been cold by the time I got back. The woman was rude, so I left. There are so many better options for food in the area. Don’t waste your time at this place. Sure there are plenty of good reviews, but make sure to check out the low reviews, many of them are recent within the last few months.

I absolutely love this place! I work in Desert Hot Springs and eat lunch here often, but I would drive 100 miles to eat here if I didn’t. We’ve tried other Indian Restaurants but they don’t even come close to comparing. Before my husband had the opportunity to eat here I would bring him my leftovers….after trying another establishment he say’s to me “the leftovers from Taste of India are better than the food (at another place) is fresh. Now that’s saying something!
