If you’ve read any of my post, you know that I love to come to a locally owned restaurants. When you go to a business of any kind, that’s local owned in the owners on premises that have skin in the game. You know you’re going to get a good product and good service. Such as the case here at Pureta de Oro. Uriel and Reyna I’ve done a great job setting up this former pizza restaurant building into a great Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic. The flavors are wonderful. It took me back so my trips to Mexico.

OVERPRICED AND FLAVORLESS. I am extremely disappointed. I ordered barria tacos and first of all they were 15! That is outrageous. I can get the same thing for 9$ and it is a million times better and full of flavor, the only reason i tried this place is because i was not in marietta where my normal spot is but i will definitely rather spend the money to drive down there then to eat this again. I paid thinking, “hope they are worth 15” they were not. It was mostly tortilla and were soooo dry and flavorless. The consomme was literally just a cheap broth and had NO flavor at all. I will definitely stick to my normal place for tacos and will not come here again.

This is one of my favorite spots to go grab some tacos or texas marg. They can add tajin to the tim. The street birria tacos are my go to, but I’ve never had any company complain with what they ordered.

Very authentic! We ordered a pork burrito and 2 chicken tacos with a beef taco. We started of with chorizo dip and it was amazing! The salsa was great with a hint of spice and the chips were fresh. The tacos were good, however the seasoning was a bit off. I wish there was more salt and less smoke marinade. We ordered some shredded cheese on the side and we got almost a cup for $1!! Great deal! The margaritas were strong and only $6.50! Great deal for the price! My mom LOVED IT!

A lesser known gem in Canton! Very tasty, generous portions, and reasonably priced food. Fresh, hot chips and slightly spicy salsa are served to each table. I ordered a chicken burrito which included chicken, rice, black beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, shredded cheese, and comes with a small cup of queso dip. My mother ordered a combo number 3 which is 2 enchiladas (of your choice) with beans and rice, while my father ordered steak fajitas. We also got a chicken torta to-go for my husband (forgot to take a photo of his before he dived in). Everything was delicious, hot, and filling.

This place is amazing! Reyna one of the owners is so warm and friendly and checks in to make sure you enjoy your meal! Our server Gustavo was funny and friendly and attentive! The food was so full of flavor and was brought out at the perfect temperature! We had the Carne asada and it was so delicious ! The beer was cold and refreshing! If you like traditional Mexican food thisbis the place to go! The remodeling that they performed presents itself as a warm, clean family friendly environment! This is a gem of a Mexican restaurant ! Thank you Jasmine A for your excellent service today, ( ticket C2-2/ table 14) this was our very first time dinning at Puerta de Oro. Everything was superb including your service which made our heart fill with joy. We cannot express how wonderful the food is. From the chorizo Tacos to the Birria tacos with dipping sauce every bite was delicious. We highly recommend your new location and hope you post your restaurant on Yelp so that others across the state of Georgia, or visitors can find you.
