This place was recommended by a local couple we met at the Brasserie St. James while havin dinner, we finally got 2 go with sum familia from outta town, the service was great as was the portions n the meals themselves. I went with my children and parents for lunch. The owner was not kind, friendly, or accommodating. He was visibly irritated when I asked for two high chairs. He only said about 5 words to us and was very annoyed when we weren’t sure what we wanted to order after 3 whole minutes at the table.

Like previous Google guides have stated, Bella Italia is kind of sparse on the interior decor. Actually it is a little cluttered. There is a table right in front full of menus, balsamic and oil dispensers, packages of pizza and bread mix, and parmesan cheese dispenser. Also as another reviewer described, the bread came out in a paper hotdog tray like a fast food joint uses.

The owner was incredibly rude, just complaining and scolding my party of six because he had to remove one place seating ! We originally made our reservation for a party of 7 but one person couldn’t make it. I felt like I was being grounded by my father the way he complained. They have no mixed drinks just low grade wines that they charge a Fortune for; and if you bring your own bottle of good quality wine in it’s a $22.00 corking fee!! We didn’t even order we had been insulted enough! We just left.. so unless you’re into being insulted and made to feel bad about stupid things, I DEFINITELY wouldn’t go here!!!!

The food is actually really good but the owners mannerism is horrible. While eating a young man came back in with his to-go order and the owner started yelling at him before he even got to the counter, in front of everyone inside. He was asking for extra sauce. The owner wouldn’t stop yelling! It was so embarrassing. Even the owners wife gave a very “I’m sorry” nod to us. Definitely will not be back since he doesn’t know how to treat his patrons with respect.
