Very nice establishment. The menu has a little bit everything, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food quality was outstanding. The building itself was a little small inside but well appointed. I had the surf and turf, the steak was very flavorful and cooked exactly as requested and the shrimp were delicious. Great place to visit just outside of Sioux Falls.

We have been to Big J’s Roadhouse twice. I have to say each time was an amazing experience. The first time we went we had burgers ,they were mouth watering good. When we went last night it happened to be wing night , win! Win! We had the smoked chicken with a few of their delicious sauces. The wings were not too smoky and were a great size and definitely a wonderful value. We sat outside and our server. Crystal did an absolutely phenomenal job! When the flies decided to come out and take over our wonderful experience, we moved inside where are phenomenal server was able to accommodate us. I can’t say enough good things about Crystal, she made us feel like we were a long lost relatives . We Never wanted for anything. I highly recommend if you have not checked this place out, you really need to do so. We will be back soon!

My wife and I were looking for a new BBQ spot and came across this place. I had seen that it had good reviews so we decided to give it a shot. All I can say is wow! I got the ribs and chicken wings with fries and baked beans. It was amazing all the way through. I cant recommend it enough and the service was amazing. They were so kind and welcoming to us.

I love their food. The appetizer “nachos” with the pulled pork on them… you can eat to yourself and not feel hungry after. I would say all the food on the menu is good…. I have not had all the food on their menu though. 10/10 would keep going. Their drinks are also fairly priced!

I had the brisket platter. The brisket was tender with excellent smoky flavor. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place, and I do plan on returning to try their ribs. Thank you for the excellent service.

Very poor service. Unsure if they were short staffed or what was happening. We ordered cheese curds that never showed up but luckily we didn’t get charged. Never got a chance to order a refill because after our food got delivered our waitress never came back to the table. Food was good, but there were bar patrons there that were yelling and talking so loudly I couldn’t hear my 5 year old talking right next to me. Sadly the least enjoyable experience we’ve had there.

My wife and I went to eat there for the first time. We wanted authentic Midwest BBQ. Service was good, food was mediocre. I got a double meat platter with the brisket and smoked wings. The wings were dry and tough and the brisket had no flavor. I could tell that there was no rub put on any of the meat prior to cooking. And the brisket wasn’t tender it was more of a flavorless brisket slice of meat that was thinly cut and too much for the asking price. My wife got an au jus sandwich and it lacked flavor as well. The best thing about the over priced meal was a toss up between the fountain lemonade and the generic steak French fries. We paid nearly $60 and we could have eaten somewhere closer to home.
