We had dinner here and did not have reservations. Had to wait about 30 minutes, but that gave us time to walk down to the dock below. This restaurant is on little Squam lake. It is connected to big Squam lake, which is where the movie “On Golden Pond” was filmed in 1981. Everyone was extremely nice, and we ended up with a table directly overlooking the lake. Our server was wonderful and the food was very good. Would recommend this restaurant to others.

The staff here are the best. So friendly and good at their jobs. The food is fresh. So fresh that I took 1/2 of my Cobb salad home and it was still crispy and green and flavorful the next day. The rosemary fries are to die for. Everything is good. Our out of town friends love the clam chowder and lobster rolls

We hadn’t been here for a couple of years. Stopped for lunch the other day and was pleased to see the newly decorated restaurant. They’ve built a beach bar down by the water and boat docks. The restaurant looks vibrant, crisp, and clean with the new paint.

We had an enjoyable lunch at Walter’s Basin this afternoon. We were seated at a table overlooking Little Squam. The Autumn sun was beating through the glass and made us very uncomfortable at first because it was like being in a greenhouse and the sun was blindingly bright even behind the braided blind. The restaurant would be wise to put some awnings over these south facing windows because their woven blinds provide no protection at all.

We’ve driven past Walter’s Basin for a couple of years and said, “we should definitely try that.” I’m so glad we finally did – and it was so good, we’ve kept coming back. The restaurant is much larger than it first appears on the outside and the street parking definitely contributes to that perception. Once inside, though, it’s very roomy. The food is exceptional, with unique menu items. The service is attentive, and you really can’t beat a water view.

Food was very good. Had the poutine, it was really good. The fries are really good. I had the fish and chips. Fish was very fresh and cooked well. Breading was good, but slightly thicker than I like.staff was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was ok, nothing special. We were there at night, but it looks like the view is great. Lots of seating.

We absolutely loved eating here, and would come back again. Our waiter was really friendly, and helpful in picking out what to eat. I had a delicious flounder sandwich special with a side of sweet potato fries…. YUMMY. Our view was amazing, we ate, chatted, and enjoyed the scenery. 10/10
