I ordered a bbq chicken bowl with veggies. The chicken was scorched n dried n overcooked. The rice could have been cooked another 5 minutes. Veggies were good. I was trying something different.

Food was just ok for me, chicken katsu was bland. My husband got the mix bbq plate and said all was good except the very fatty rib. The restaurant was very clean and open, staff was very friendly, i would go back to try different menu items.

The previous time I went here & got food for my family, it was soooo good. We ordered a chicken katsu plate, kalua pork w/cabbage plate & 2 spam musubi. The plates were both delicious & the musubi was warm & yummy. Been craving L&L since that visit, so I decided to try it again.

Saimin was a little salty but not enough to not say, “da buggah wuz ono”. The garlic shrimp was ono’licous too. I was hoping to be listening to island music while we were dining in.. Try da spam musubi too.

Decent food, friendly staff, was just kind of weird that they were closing at like 1 P.M. when I showed up. They still let me order but it’s strange to close up when it’s still around lunch time. Tables and everything were very clean and the food was quick.

I have been waiting for this to open!! Im not rating service or atmosphere bc I ordered take out, I wish I had opened it before I brought it all the way home. All the meat was burnt, I ordered 2 bbq mix plates, and a bbq chicken bowl, a complete waste of money. The short ribs were all gristle and fat, which normally I don’t mind a little, the beef was just burnt, the chicken was burnt. Just look at the pics. The bbq chicken bowl had semi frozen vegetables. The rice… that’s what made me mad, how was half too wet and dry and hard? Just don’t go.

We’ve lived in Hawaii for more than 10 and L&L was one of our go to place to grab a bite. When my husband came home one day and said that there’s L& L right down the road from us, I couldn’t not wait to try it. The first time we came to this place my husband had the loco moco, my son had the keiki chicken Katsu and I had musubi. The chicken katsu was very bland, the loco moco patty was a little dry but alright the musubi was ok. Today we went again and ordered chicken katsu bowl which was the other half of the rice was soggy due to the vegetables that were on top of it. Katsu was still very bland. Loco moco plate, this time the beef patty was so dry it was rubbery. Seafood and bbq mix plate: the fried shrimp and fish didn’t have any taste whatsoever. The bbq short ribs on the other hand was extremely salty with over powering taste of ginger and was very tough. The only thing that I liked and actually enjoyed was the kalua pork bowl.

OMG This is my 1st visit here.. The atmosphere, food and service were all outstanding! I love Hawaiian food and they do not disappoint. They been have a great selection of the Hawaiian Sun drinks that can only be found in Hawaii and here now lol.
