We had the most lovely dining experience in the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The service, card, and flowers at our table were such a lovely personal touch. And the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Very cozy and pretty. The staff super friendly. Menu is limited so I expected a bit higher quality. Bison meatloaf was on the drier side with Mac n cheese pie dry as well. The burger smash was good.

Update August 2023: downgrade from 5 to 1 star. A remarkable plunge I’ve never experienced.

Service was phenomenal and has been consistent across on both our visits. Unfortunately we cannot say the same for the food. Smoked Gouda pimento cheese sounded intriguing, however didn’t get any smoked flavor of the Gouda. Was fine, but nothing different or special. Seemed to be heavy on cream cheese thus the Gouda didn’t shine as we had hoped. I had the trout. No flavor and was done differently than last time. Too greasy and not much flavor other than some chopped garlic. Beans with stewed tomatoes (?) for a side. Again no flavor and beans were undercooked so chewy. Couldn’t eat them. Husband had short rib (singular). Barely two bites of meat. Served with bland Brussels sprouts and polenta. Plain polenta. Definitely not the same quality and flavorful menu items we had the last time we were here (4 months ago) and raved to the owner how much we loved it. Different chef, obviously, and potentially needing to cut back on or simplify ingredients is our assumption, but that’s just an assumption. We are so disappointed. We didn’t even get dessert and were excited for the blackberry sour cream pie (owner highlighted it on our first visit and is was AMAZING), however feared more disappointment. We LOVED our first visit here a few months ago (five stars!) and we were so excited to return. Not sure we will try again. Hoping this is just a bad night because we want to love everything about this place.

We had an amazing meal at HomeCraft! Food and service were wonderful. Great attention to detail. The Ribs were possibly the best I’ve ever had and the wife said the same about the Trout. Blackeyed peas and cream corn were delicious too. The chef and manager came out to check on us and our meal, which was really cool! By far the best meal we have had in Maggie! Thank you!

I’ve found another hidden gem!! So I’ve been traveling here in Maggie Valley NC and came across “Homecraft”, a local restaurant located within a hotel. I really didn’t think it was going to be all it turned out to be, but WOW was I wrong. The whole ambiance was unlike anything I would have expected, the lighting, tables, overhead music, everything was blended beautifully. The menu was small but packed such amazing flavors. They offer “small plates” from which we ordered three and were not disappointed! The taste was different and plentiful. They also offer a downstairs lounge with live music on the weekends. My waitress served up exceptional service to go with my superior dinning experience. I definitely recommend a night here at Homecraft and more than sure you will not be disappointed, simply AMAZING!! ️

The staff was warm and friendly from start to end. We truly enjoyed the elk chili, bison meatloaf, trout, and short ribs. From the bread with sweet butter, amazing corn, black eye peas, delicious kale, desserts, and top notch meals this place is awesome. Great addition to Maggie-Valley.

So HomeCraft just opened and I saw some photos on Facebook figured I would give it a try. Wow! So good!!! I had the Mountain Goat Salad and Nothing to Wine About with these Ribs (short rib). Also got the Bread Pudding to go for dessert and I could not have been more pleased. The food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back again!

Best restaurant in Haywood County including Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Atmosphere is cozy and romantic. Food is fantastic. For sure try short ribs. Going tonight to try new menu item—lamb chops. My only concern is when summer hits with all the tourists this place will be swamped. I’m sure they will have to go to reservations only. What a wonderful restaurant and staff. Boyd the manager is a great host.
