Was super excited to try daebokjung when my LA friend asked if I wanted seafood. We got the combo A and ordered salted eel as a top off. Overall nothing was too memorable. Nothing was very flavourful. Maybe that is the purpose but usually Korean food is packed with amazing flavours. They do have some meat options but it was raining so their vents didn’t work, which meant no grilling.

The only benefit of this restaurant is having its own parking lot which is obviously big in LA. but the food quality, portion, service…all really below average. I had spicy menus that had stronger garlic taste to make everything a bit bitter(probably had chinese imported garlic) rice in the bowl was only half filled. banchan was all very salty. service is bad with a call button. if you are not going to answer to button call, please do not install the call button. PLEASE~~

I took my in-laws for late lunch, but we were all disappointed. We had 해물탕 seafood soup ($84.99) and 아구찜($41.99) because the first thing they said was 복 wasn’t available. 아구찜 was okay but the other dish wasn’t that good. I would not take any of my korean friends or adults to this restaurant and I have no intention to revisit. The staff wasn’t friendly and food itself was very disappointing. I normally tip 18% at least, but I didn’t even want to tip a dollar…(of course I at least tipped them at least 15%..) I will never never go back…
