Great people, pizza’s baked to order even for me with garlic! I really miss “Ma” aka Patti and the OV location. It just seems so unfair that a very established family business was forced out of their business home:( BUT they have recovered and are doing well. They continue to support the community by giving back in multiple ways. For example, during the first onset of Covid-19, Tommy and his family donated to the community at least 1000 cases of hamburger patties. WOW, what an awesome gesture especially during our community’s hard times! Bravo to Mona Lisa’s Owners and staff for their continued support and hard work!!

I found this place on Groupon and was excited to try out some good Italian food, but sadly it turned out that the best part about this place was the waitress and the Long Island ice tea. The waitress was extremely sweet and hospitable despite the poor quality of the food. I ordered the wings and the Alfredo, and my partner ordered wings and chicken parmesan. For this to be an Italian restaurant their quality of pasta was below average. The pasta lacked seasoning and the cheese sauce was thick and goopy like it came straight from a can. Same with my partners food- no seasoning and the garlic bread was so bizarre. It was like reheated cardboard with absolutely no garlic seasoning wrapped in aluminum foil. The wings were alright. I ordered a 10 piece Mango Caribbean, which visually looked very good but after taking a bite I discovered that the wings themselves had no seasoning on them, you could tell the the wings were fried completely plain, then dumped in a sauce that left a lot to be desired. We were in the midst of suffering through the food when a medium sized baby roach crawled from the wall and sashayed over to the back of our booth. It was entirely too comfortable so I cringe to know what the kitchen looks like. We quickly left after that. The drink was strong & good so if anything I would just go back for that.

This was a cozy spot, good for a game of pool, good conversations, and checking out a game on the television. They have live music and friendly patrons. The food was fresh, and it tasted pretty good. My wings had a good flavor, but the small ones were too dry, and the big ones needed another minute in the fryer. The pizza was delicious, but the pasta needed a little more seasoning. I ordered veal parmigiana to go, and that was good. The service was second to none! Kudos to the young lady who served us. She knew the items on the menu inside out, and she was very personable. Even if I didn’t like the food, I would return just to be treated like royalty. I will be back, and I will give the wings another chance.

Atmosphere great, lasagna decent, slice of pizza ordered at end “just to try”, horrible. Please get somebody in here who knows how to make pizza. Would come back to try other items and enjoy the atmosphere but wouldn’t eat the pizza again if they paid me.

So I went to Mona Lisa’s on military highway in Norfolk. The atmosphere was awesome very chill and laid-back but I was not expecting the quality of food that I received. It was AMAZING!!!. I had the chicken Parmesan dinner (my go to favorite dinner dish) with a slice of carrot cake. And let me tell you what I can’t wait to go back and see what else they got cooking up in there.

We had our safety lunch today I had originally ordered veal parmesan but they didn’t have it so changed it to chicken parmesan it was nasty it smelled and tasted funny the sauce gave me terrible indigestion and heartburn. It was my first and last and as I write this I am still burping up whatever it was I couldn’t eat it I threw it away.
