Great little hidden gem down Pumpkin Center Rd. Less than a 1/2 mile from the interstate. Local, family owned eatery. Staff was very friendly and super helpful. Food was great, a little pricey but everything we had was fantastic. Limited seating, but the place was very clean and neat. Will definitely be back!

My family was traveling to Texas from Florida for my son’s graduation from BMT and we found this Gem..We met the owner who was VERY welcoming and courteous. I tried the Smothered okra with chicken, sausage and shrimp. OMG..My taste buds went crazy!!! It was so delicious and seasoned to perfection. My family tried the chicken tenders, hot wings and fries. Everyone said it was the best they’ve ever had. I have always wanted to try authentic Louisiana food and for my first time this restaurant did NOT disappoint!! If you’re ever in the area definitely add this restaurant as one of your stops.

Everything is really nice and clean. Staff were very friendly, inviting and attentive. I have a seafood allergy and they took special precautions. I appreciated that the most. I will definitely be back! Made the trip from New Orleans worth while.

I drove from Liberty, MS to try the food. I was not disappointed. Everything was DELICIOUS! I’d fight somebody over the crawfish bread. It was perfect.

I have been hearing raves about Johnson’s Kitchen on Pumpkin Center. I was a little hesitant because their sandwiches are on buns. (Muffaletta style bread) Fried shrimp sandwich is delicious!!! 1/2 sandwich and a few sweet potato fries was very filling. Leftovers for tomorrow. I totally recommend. And, there is a drive thru window.
