La Braise Grill began with the inspiration to introduce traditional African flavors into our community of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. La Braise is a popular acronym worldwide that stands for “to cook slowly meat, chicken, fish on a grill for a perfect slightly smoky taste”. We wanted to give our community access to African cuisine’s diverse and unique flavor profiles in a contemporary, casual setting. We had a, really, nice time eating at LA BRAISE. Karen prepared the sea bass, choukouya, attieke and fresh steamed green beans for us. All of the dishes were spectacular and we, also, enjoyed our conversation with Karen. We certainly cannot forget to mention how delicious the homemade juices and sauces tasted. We highly recommend LA BRAISE and we’ll return soon.

Wow wow WOW! What a gem of a place we found. We had the red snapper and the garba with yellow rice and aloco. And let me tell you, EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS and fresh. It would definitely be a mistake if you passed by here without stopping. The chef was so nice and always checked up on us. I could tell by the food and her customer service that she puts a lot of care into her business. Please be patient with her since she’s really busy but it’s so worth it.

Stopping by to get lunch, we were able to talk to the chef and owner- Karen. She was very sweet and friendly and was helpful in recommending and explaining the menu items. We ordered garba (grilled tuna), grilled chicken, fried plantains, and attieke (ground cassava).

Super delicious. We ended up taking out instead of dining in and the food is well worth the wait. The chicken is seasoned to perfection with a nice spicy kick if you ask for it. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a chicken breast so flavorful and l juicy in my life. The grilled fish and sides we ordered were delicious. The owner is super friendly and hospital.
