We stopped yesterday to eat at Mi Tierra and it was too packed and about 1hrs waiting. So we were told about this place by the parking attendant to eat here since the other one was packed and it was the same owners. So we got to the front doors and it was nice from the looks of it, then we’re told to wait a few before the clean the tables and we said ok. 10 minutes later we were called to sit down and were pleasantly greeted by outer waiter. The menu looked good and we were severed drinks without straws which seemed like a hard commodity to get since that took a long time. Our plates were confused by another waiter which took my wife’s plate to another table and I never received my sides with my plate. The staff was horribly slow with clientele. My wife started to feel since the next morning with stomach pains and then I started with them after she spent a few hours in the bathroom. This was the only place we ate from our trip from San Antonio to McAllen. This will be the last time we eat here.

Great alternative to the larger, louder, wall-to-wall packed Mi Tierra. Same food, same owners. Kids quesadilla plate was a hit, Enchilada Trio was delicious and enough to share after chips & salsa and queso. Quick, friendly service, margaritas were huge and tasty.

It would be nice to see a couple more hearty options on the menu. But, this place serves it’s purpose well. It’s essentially a faster food option for tourist traffic not looking for a full sit down experience, and to catch folks who give up on the Mi Tierra wait.

The atmosphere was AMAZING and the service was OUTSTANDING! The Mango-Chamoy Margarita rimmed with chile was delicious! I highly recommend it. My son and I had the Michoacan dinner and my husband had the Tacos del Mercado. My husband and son didn’t know that real Pico de Gallo was made with fresh jalapenos. I laughed when they freaked out. The food was scrumptious! We will definitely be going back soon. When you do go there, ask for Pablo Acosta from Riverdale, CA. Outstanding server!!

We stopped here after a long day at 6 flags. It was close to our hotel. We almost didn’t because it was dead compared to the other places near the market. I am glad we did. The person who seated us was really nice and our waiter was exceptional. We will be back next time we’re in San Antonio. This is great food and great service.

Very good tacos, we were not exactly coming to eat here but I decided to give this place a chance and I’m glad. We received good customer service and our waitress was patient and understanding. She ensured we left happy. Would come here again.
