Typical dive bar & restaurant with attention to good food, large portions, and that’s about it. Had the cheeseburger club, which was solid and some nicely prepared onion rings. Not much of an atmosphere, and a little bit of a fly problem at my table. The late owner Gene Poe and his family are distant relatives of Edgar Allan Poe, and there are a few signs on the wall as testament to that relationship.

Very happy and surprised with this place. We finally decided to try them for thr pit beef expecting a small average menu. Very surprised at the great selection, and the specials are a very good deal and large portion sizes. We got carry out but walked inside to order and the waitress Kat was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu items. Even offered to sample the potato salad when I asked what was in it :)… The reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the steamed shrimp were dry and overcooked, the pit beef which i asked to be medium was very well done ( but still very good, seasoned so good, and big portion size!), and the “chicken taquitos” were not crispy which is what we expected (it was just a stuffed tortilla grilled on the grill and was soft, and the stuffing was pretty much just buffalo chicken dip…so more like a Buffalo chicken dip roll up…not terrible but not a taquito. The onion rings were beer battered and very good. Green beans were very flavorful. Will definitely be coming back….also to try their breakfast! I would recommend to the owner to get a menu somewhere out there online….or put it on the Facebook page. The specials are on Facebook but there is no menu anywhere online. We had to take a paper menu home for next time.

Good food and great service! I got a sift crab sandwich with fries and my hubby got the steamed shrimp – both were great. My mother in law got peanut butter pie for dessert and I might have snuck a bite or two – it was delicious!!
