I am enamored by the experience I had here. What an absolute gem of the Emerald City. I’m vegetarian and they had a whole menu catered to my taste. Hands down the BEST Sesame Tofu I’ve EVER had! I am new to the city, and I’m SO excited to make this a regular spot for my wife and I.

Separate plant based Chinese food menu, that’s served almost all day. The crispy eggplant has a very well balanced sauce. It could use more actual eggplant. The Mongolian duck is good, it tastes like something homemade. I’d skip the spicy dragon mushrooms, they’re bland, and have too much fried coating. Overall there’s a wide variety of vegetable and tofu dishes. No dessert though :(. Service is wonderful! Very friendly and attentive staff.

Their plant-based menu is a must for vegetarians and vegans! This was the first place we ate at when we visited the city and it was an amazing choice! So happy this place was recommended to us by a fellow vegan. We ordered the orange mock duck and the sesame tofu and we left feeling so full and satisfied! I would absolutely love to come back here again. And great service too! Easy walking distance from tourist attractions like the Space Needle, Seattle Center, Olympic Sculpture Park, etc.

We stopped in because they have a separate plant based menu. When we entered it was during lunchtime and there weren’t too many people inside. We were greeted immediately and told to sit wherever we would like to. We were handed menus shortly after(if you are looking for the plant based menu just ask and they will kindly bring it out to you). I ordered their Chinese margarita(super tasty) and my bf ordered an IPA. We decided to share some veggie spring rolls which came with a DELICIOUS dipping sauce. I ordered the plant based orange mock-duck and it was amazing. The flavor was delicious and the mock duck was nice and tender. It’s a generous portion that comes with a side of rice. My bf ordered the Singapore rice noodles and loved it. The portions were very generous. The server was so nice. She checked in on us throughout our meal and even boxed it up for us when we were ready to leave. Plant based Chinese food is hard to come by where I’m from so this place was a must try while I was visiting Seattle. We were at the space needle and this wasn’t a bad walk from there. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

The place looked amazing but when looking at the menu you do see it’s pricey. When I got there I had order and took a hour to get my food. I know when restaurants get busy it takes awhile but you order 35 min ahead from another group that just got seated and gets their food first you know that is a problem. I honest recommends barons in Bellevue if you are going to pay the same price but get better quality food

Amazing food I can’t express the care that goes into this food. Each dish has a lovely flavor and was delicious. I will come back just for the food but the service is next level my waitress was funny kind and knowledgeable about the dishes if I could give more stars I would ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place is wonderful! We had planned to go to Chinatown for dinner, but discovered Uptown China right down from our hotel. What a find! Yu-Mei is a treasure. The restaurant was lovely, the service was excellent, the food was spectacular, and the portions were ample. We had selections from the regular menu as well as the vegetarian menu. Everything arrived hot and perfectly prepared. Loved every bite.

Food was very good. We had potstickers, shrimp ravioli, house fried rice, Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, and dry fried green beans. All the food was solid and the beans and beef were especially good. Service was good, and rather than scoff at our rotten toddler throwing a fit, the owner brought three fortune cookies before our appetizers, which greatly improved our experience. Kid should have ate his dinner though, he missed out on some good solid food. There’s more authentic dishes and menus to be found, but this joint serves very solid fare at fair prices.

Went for lunch and the food was a little underwhelming. The lunch special is a good value but a bit bland. Service was friendly but a little slow at times. Having basic condiments accessible on the table (sugar, soy sauce) would have been nice. The fried rice was noticeably undercooked and lacked flavor. Maybe they were having an off day.

It’s very unfortunate of me to have to write a bad review, which as a food blogger I rarely do. Tonight I ordered the recommended dishes from the menu & was very disappointed.
