Ordered the fajitas which includes beans, rice, cilantro, guac and homemade tortillas. Truth be told, the food was very average – nothing memorable. However, the fresh handmade tortillas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Also, the service was stellar. I would try it again but would order something else.

Hope in the wall…exactly what I like to find when on vacation. Especially Mexican food. Although it wasn’t the best I’ve had, the beans were definitely worth mentioning tho. It had a hint of chorizo. It was delicious. We ordered cabeza tacos and it was super tender. The chilaquiles was good. I had it with verde sauce and carne asada. Everyone around was Hispanic and mostly were eating menudo. Must be a good place for it!

This is a small taco shop that offers a small but flavorful menu to pick from. The prices are good for the portions and flavors.

As a native San Diegan, this is the hole in the wall place that I have always kept secret. In my personal opinion, this is the best place to get a taco. My usual order is the carnitas plate. The staff is super friendly and you won’t find a better place that serves fresh beans and rice with your main entrée.

10/ 07/2022 I called to pick up a California burrito but I usually replace the meat with beans and the lady on the phone repeated my order back to me twice and when I got home it didn’t have any beans just fries , guac, & sour cream. What a waste of money never coming back here again.

We ordered the Crane Asada Fries, 5 roll tacos, and one gordita of adobada and another gordita of carnitas. The Carne Asada fries are not your traditional fries somthing was missing the taste of the meat was great but just not the overall plate. The 5 roll tacos were pretty good. Cant go wrong with roll tacos. The gorditas is the reason we came to this place and wasnt impressed. The adobada had no taste just kinda blah and so was the carnitas. I couldn’t even tell it was carnitas it had not taste. I went at around 7:30pm so i dont know if that makes a difference. Prices for the food seem cheap though so that’s a plus.

The food was pretty good. A little bland to me, but with salsa, it was good enough.

This place is so great. My cousin called them and ask what time they closed. They closed at 930 but as long as someone was there before they closed they would still serve us even if a few came in late. We were a group of over 20 people. I would recommend this place to everyone that goes to San Diego. The food was really good as well.

Mi Tierra is a Jalisco-style Mexican food restaurant on a stretch of Highland Avenue in National City that is one of the region’s most popular clusters of Mexican restaurants, including Tacos El G, Salud, Karina’s Mexican Seafood, Gorditas Don Andres, and even Roberto’s Numero Uno (their flagship restaurant). I initially found myself at Mi Tierra out of curiosity, having passed by it so many times to get to these other places.
