Loved all the food we ordered – Mapo Tofu – this had a numbing effect on tongue just enough to keep me going for another bite. Also got Dandan noodles, Spicy wontons in chili sauce both were great. Would love to dine in one day.

Probably not an exaggeration to say this was best and most authentic Szechuan I’ve tried outside China (chefs are all in fact from Szechuan). The 冒菜 was perfectly spicy and ingredients tasted fresh – not at all heavy despite the copious amounts of chili oil. Also got the spicy chili oil wontons (delicious) and a soft tofu/ground meat dish (so tender and flavorful). Note that this is a tiny no-frills hole-in-the-wall spot… but as long as you’re looking good food and not for a fancy ambiance, this place is amazing!

Some of the one star reviews of this place are unfair. The place is small, seating about 18, tight, but the food we ordered was very authentic Sichuan, they also serve some Chimerican dishes. We had 冬瓜排骨汤, 辣子雞, 冒菜and lunch combo. It was very good and we kept the seafood broth to cook more fish at home later. There were 6 of us, my wife, four kids and myself and the bill was right at $100 with 20% tip.

This is the place you go to have an authentic sichuan meal. I ordered the grill fish (not in the menu). I come here all the time with family and I am always very satisfied with the food.

If only I could give this place a 6 star!!! So far hands down the BEST Sichuan food in Boston!! Very authentic and spicy! I think you can also tell the server to make it less spicy. I’ve been in store once and ordered take out multiple times and it never lets me down!! Recommend 毛血旺!Everything else is just as great, just go with your favorite Sichuan dish.

Most authentic Mao Cai I ever had in the US. You can smell the unique delicious spice of Sichuan Mao Cai once you enter the store. Definitely recommended!!! Must try!!! Dishes are nice too!

Ordered delivery from here and the Sichuan flavors were spot-on so I decided to go dine in. They’re no frills, small hole-in-the-wall restaurant but my goodness the flavor is authentic. For takeout I ordered the spicy cabbage, spicy cold noodles, and bamboo shoot stirfry. For dining in (picture here) the dan dan noodles, a Sichuan cold beef appetizer (夫妻肺片), and cauliflower drypot. Everything came in sizeable, sharing portions. Super tasty! The mala flavor is a good balance, nothing was too oily or too salty like sometimes can happen with Sichuan restaurants. Staff was very welcoming too. I’d definitely eat here again! I want to try everything on the menu, it all looks so good.

The food was sooooo good so we had no time to take pics. Very authentic flavor and great service. The spicy steampot and Chongqing spicy chicken are highly recommended!

First time trying this place, quite small and the renovation is not fancy. It’s great. We ordered Dan Dan noodles and Maocai, huge portions and authentic. Definitely will come back again.

I used to order hotpot all the way from Chinatown, but I can just come here and eat quality hotpot. Its spice level is perfect, and it tastes authentic. I’m so glad this place is so close to where I live. Please don’t change your recipe. It’s perfect.
