I had the chance to visit Kings while catching up with an old friend on my last visit to NYC. Upon arriving at the restaurant I was not all that impressed. However, by the time I left my taste buds were screaming. The food was absolutely amazing, the boil had a perfect balance of seafood and veggies. The flavors hit on every level. If you are haven’t, try the egg, you will be glad you did.

My only complaint is there was no whiskey. But I came here by accident and wasn’t disappointed.. food amazing and the bartenders were super cool to us the entrie time we was there. I drank the regular punch but Def a spot if you like seafood and frozen drinks

I really wanted to NOT think about the reviews and come see for myself. The food was delicious. Drinks were great BUT our server forgotten our food. We sat for 2 1/2 hours (drinking) and didn’t get our food until 10!! Even still the order was wrong but at that point, I was disappointed. It’s a shame though as the place had great vibes. My visit to the King of the Sea was my worst experience at seafood restaurant. They have a 90 minute seating rule which they don’t follow. Me and my group waited for almost 3 hours for a group that was already eating when we arrived. Their were only 6 of us and the staff could not figure out how to sit us ANYWHERE else except for their table of 10. The food was just okay. Not one of us finished our food nor wanted to take the rest home. The “bar” is a joke. We had a better bar in our college dorm room than what they have on display. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. The King of the Sea seems like the corner store of restaurants. The staff communion in groups while customers wait up to an hour for their orders, drinks took 30 minutes to be fulfilled. The one order for a shrimp salad at our table was the last order to make it to the table and it took 15 minutes longer than the rest of the entrees… The more I write the more I remember. I’m going to stop here. Don’t waste your time or your money. The King of the Sea should be sunk.

My friend and I came here and the place met all my expectations. For others like me that are allergic to basically everything under the sea. I had the fried fish and chips, which was really good. It was catfish and it was my first time having it. And it was so delicious!!! Between that and the drinks that are first of all beautiful to see and taste very good. The waitress we had, was fantastic. Super sweet and helped get my to go order together. Overall a great experience, I will say yes you will end up spending quite a bit. But for the quality it was worth it. Just add more bacon wrapped scallops please!!! 6 is good, but 8 would be better

Delicious I had fish n shrimp. Loved it but my only suggestion is to have the chef open the lobster tail more before frying it. Couldn’t get much meat of that but the drinks was definitely hitting. Might go there today for a quick drink

Me and the wife went to celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary. Food was amazing. Had the Catfish and Shrimp Combo. Wife had crab leg special both were great. Had the lemon pepper chicken wings for appetizers wife said best she ever had.

So I absolutely love this place. The food was so good. I had the catfish and chips. It was literally fried to perfection. The Rum punch and Mac and Cheese was to die for! Great atmosphere. Everyone was vibing out to the amazing playlist of 2000’s R&B, Marc needed to get a karaoke machine because everyone was singing their hearts out to their favorite hits! It was so much fun! Everything complements each other really well. Really enjoyed my time there with friends and family. Owner Marc/ waiter Mustafa did a great job at catering to our needs and wants. Good vibe, Good food, Good times! 10 out of 10 for me. I would highly recommend it and come again.
