Where do I start, but this is one neat little place. We arrive around 8:30 on a Saturday night. We had 10 side by sides in our group. There was already another large group there. 2 more large groups came in after us. The waitress calmly told all of us that it was just her and one cook so it was going to be a little bit of a wait. They understood if we wanted to leave but they would do their best. I will tell you that their best between the 2 of them equals a full staff of 12 or so for many. Those 2 worked their butts off and not a person in the restaurant left. Places like this are the reason we love to visit West Virginia. The people there truly want you and your business. It feels so good to spend money at a town and store where they really do want your business. I know our group tipped her very well and I hope others did too. The owners have some top notch employees! Our cheeseburgers were good too. It is a neat little closed down drive in. I would recommend to anyone!

When you are in the Welch area you MUST stop by the Sterling Diner. This classic hot rod style dinner is an icon in the community. They serve good diner style food with great portions. Not to mention the fantastic prices. They have a robust menu with a variety of different things (I recommend the beef, steak tips, or the sterling special sandwich). The onion rings and fried apples are great side dishes.

Not many restaurants in these parts but this place is a must. Friendly staff and patrons and delicious food. It’s been around for a while and for good reason.

This place should be shut down, the bathrooms alone were a bio hazard, the food was terrible, we waited an hour and 15 minutes to get a sandwich!! They took so long just to get drinks to the table we went out to the cat to bring in our own… definitely keep it moving don’t waste your time or money here!

Delicious food and friendly service! I went for their monthly open mic night and will certainly be back! The music was awesome! The servers are friendly and attentive. The wait took awhile but that’s because it was very busy. The environment was so cozy and fun. Enjoy the memorabilia on the walls and the old time diner feel!

Sterling Drive-In is always a good place go to get something to eat in Welch. Options are limited in Welch so this is the finest of dining in the area! Straight forward fare in a drive-in setting. The Greek salad is an unexpected surprise. Also they do make a BLT that hits the spot after a long day of work. Good people too!

Nice quaint place. BUT we waited a bit long to get to order taken and for our drinks. But food was good. Good place to go if you’re just wanting to take a long break, chill out and eat.

Didn’t have salsa for the “omelette” if you can call it that it needs to be called a scramble because that’s all it was. The server was highly rude. Than several people showed up who were all talking over each other and I couldn’t hear my conversation at my table when the person was talking only two feet away from me it was overall an unpleasant experience
