Just bought a pizza kit. Contains 3 crusts, sauce and we got extra cheese. I have always loved their pizza BUT we just made one and the crust tastes freezer burnt, it is gummy and we couldn’t even cut through it. $25 down the drain. Sadly we won’t be back to purchase anymore. This literally and figuratively left a bad taste in our mouths. The service is always great so they still have that going for them. I hope they see this review and check their crusts from now on. ☹️

Fairground pizza at a reasonable price, with friendly service.

Always loved the pizza as a kid and young adult. I picked up a pizza kit 3/16/2023 I haven’t been there in years. Now I understand all the bad reviews. Wanted to see for myself, and yes the recipe has definitely changed. Sorry to say I won’t be buying from there again.

Pizza is nothing like it was before the pandemic. Basically it tastes like low budget frozen flatbed pizza. We bought some fresh tonight and the crust is so hard. Unfortunately a waste of money. I hope they decide to go back.

Great pizza, all these people giving 1 star reviews are sad boomers that have long lost their tastebuds.

I have been getting the pizza kits for over 40 years. Always loved them until recently. They changed the crust, it is horrible. Why mess with a good thing? A family tradition is now only a memory. I definitely won’t get another kit.

Have been going to Charlie K forever and about a year ago they changed crust and we didn’t care for it. 1 year later we decided to try it again. The crust is horrible and a insult to charge people for that paper thin awful crust. Charlie K was never cheap but decently priced but it is outrageous now and not good. Do yourself a favor and go buy three Tombstone’s for less money and much better. I hope they address the crust issue and find a new supplier because if not they will be the next Allentown staple to fold.

My family has been getting pizza kits for over 30+ years. I am not sure why you changed the shells, they are garbage. I tried it 2 times now hoping it would get better and yesterday I bought my last one unless the old shells return. You had a great product but now it’s trash. Don’t waste your money.

I’ve bought pizza kits here for years and unfortunately they recently made changes that are terrible. They raised the price to $15 because they “have a bigger bag of cheese” in the kit. The biggest problem however is the new pizza shells. I could tell from the minute I took them out of the bag that they were different. After baking I can say they are NOT NEARLY as tasty or crispy as their old shells. The new shells taste like cardboard! If they continue using this shell I will not be making my weekly pizza run to Charlie K’s!!!

Been going to Charlie K’s more than 40 years its a fun family Saturday night treat. It’s not gourmet pizza for sure. If you want gourmet pizza go to NYC and pay $60 or more and you’ll still find something to complain about.
