Yesterday my sister went to go get dinner for the family. To my surprise we were given RAW CHICKEN. I am very upset! That could kill someone! The photos speak for themselves. I will definitely not be going back nor do I recommend anyone to try Howdy. What a shame. These thing are very serious I hope something gets done about this because this is just unacceptable!

I ordered the loaded fries. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor profile! I would not have thought to mix queso, slaw and pickles with waffle fries and chicken but it’s a wonderful combination! At first I thought they put very little chicken but once I began eating there was plenty of meat. I was full on the small portion size.

Excellent customer service from the guy in the front (I think his name was eloy?). My food came out with some issues and i had to send it back. He could immediately read the discontent on my face which was in part due to an exchange with another employee about the matter. As soon as he saw the situation he apologized and said he would get me a new sandwich immediately. Knowing i was still irritated from it all happening, he let me know that he refunded the meal for me. Great customer service. He earned the establishment a 5 star rating. Oh and by the way, the next sandwich was made to satisfaction.

In my opinion the size and heat of the reaper tender is not quite as good as the one at Dave’s Hot Chicken. However, it was a good flavor, it was jucy, crunchy and not greasy. I got the reaper just as I do at Dave’s, the spicy heat did not last, in my mouth, as long as Dave’s Hot Chicken. Don’t get me wrong it is good chicken and a decent size tender. They are way better than Champ’s Nashville Hot Chicken in Pensacola Florida. Howdy does allow the customers to purchase just one tender, $3.49 ea., that comes with a sauce where at Dave’s you have to purchase the one piece basket 4.69 that has a the tender a piece of bread, pickles, sauce and honey. The piece at Dave’s is quite a bit bigger though. The young man, Eloy, that waited on me was very friendly and helpful. He did very well and so did Darrell, who cooked my reaper tender. If I had not eaten at Dave’s then I would have probably given Howdy’s a five star rating. So try them, in my opinion they are worth it.

The food was pretty good. Our food was made fresh after we ordered. We waited maybe about 10 minutes or so, which isn’t bad at all. The Howdy Sammie “Heat Up” spice was very good. Spicy, but not overwhelming for me, and just a touch of sweetness. The slaw on the sandwich was a good ratio. The Loaded Chicken fries were good. Not very much chicken, maybe 1 tender cut up. The queso cheese on the fries is really good. The chicken breasts on the sandwich were tender, but just a little tough. That is always my experience with Halal chicken anyway, so it was to be expected. Overall, it was good. I will probably come back, but there are slightly better hot chicken places out there.

i’ve been to all of the locations in the houston area and i really love this location/area. Nice looking store and FOOD IS 10/10! Highly recommend the loaded fries. I wish they can put a howdy in the college station/bryan tx area soon!

The food and service is awesome. Next to our home and often a choice for a quick bite at night. Always take mild, their medium is also fairly spicey. Go above medium level at your own risk :). My daughter loves their mac and cheese.
