It was great food but I don’t want to jinx it just yet. When I’ve gone three or four times I’ll update this review. There’s three tables and it’s right next to a liquor store so the atmosphere outside the restaurant is slightly ghetto but nonthreatening around lunch time. Great undiscovered hole in the wall in my book.

I’ve lived next door for years. The new owners have really turned the place around. It is beautiful inside. The food is amazing, it’s like I’m actually back in Mexico. 100% recommend.

Great service, Anthony was good and Jesse’s is even better as the new owner , not sure what this person is talking about portions. Not my experience at all, I would say the portions are huge. Zero blank stares just amazing, friendly service. I’m glad they are across the street. A hidden gem worth traveling to if not in the neighborhood. And the lamb tacos are amazing!

I suggest you do not go . They don’t weigh portion. I spent $9.50 on barbacoa and it had 1 oz of meat. Carne guisada only had one oz of meat and I just tasted garlic.I asked the manager what are the portions size such as weight. He didn’t understand the question. Just looked at me with a blank stare and said they just use a large serving spoon.

This place used to “Anthonys TexMex”. And it wasn’t that great either but it was tolerable. Now as Jesse’s Tex Mex it is much much worse. I wish Anthony’s was back.
