Unbelievable value. Got the lunch plate with chicken, rice, and coleslaw and wasn’t left hungry or disappointed. There’s no inside dining or really anywhere to sit even, so plan on eating in your car or taking it to go.

Ramona is such a sweetheart. We have came at least 6x during our 9 day stay here. It would have been 9 but we found out about this place to late. The rays in north shore taste exactly the same too if your near north shore. We always get the whole chicken, large yummy pineapple slaw, 2 scoops of rice and a small oz of grandma sauce for 21.50 in total, it fills 2 adults and my partner eats like a cow. The chicken is slightly salty but pairing it with the rice together is perfection. This is the best chicken spot that we have tried and this is our third time in Hawaii. We have tried MULTIPLE spots. THE SLAW IS INSANELY DELICIOUS TOO!!! Kudos to the hard working mama and the man cooking the chicken.

Area was too tight. Had some really bombastic guy who apparently only spoke pigeon (and rudely at that) demanding we have our car to move at a tight parking lot despite not blocking any pathing at all. Food is good but it’s cash only despite saying on their Facebook website that they take all credit cards and debit cards at ALL LOCATIONS. Inconsistent service and terrible location. The California Ave location is sketchy.

Past times were very good. This time it’s a bit raw. At the joint of the wing drumette and body. The first side I took had that issue. Near to and at the joint the meat was hard to break off the body. Couldn’t eat that part since it was stuck to the body. When I checked the other side, it was also affected the same.

Ramona is very helpful and patient on the phone and in person…got a whole chicken and some smoked pork our first time there…so ono…next time we get the huli huli chicken , we’ll try the char siu pork…can’t wait…the whole time we were there, there’s a constant flow of customers…thank goodness, the line wasn’t long…food smell so good while it’s cooking…cash only…came there because of the recommendations from my mom’s dialysis team who are regular customers…
