Food was good. Not quite Chicago style. The pizza, while palatable, was made with a very watery sauce. I suspect it is their marinara sauce and not an actual pizza sauce. The cheese was not very stringy…the crust however was wonderful. The Gyro was good, the sauce as well…but the pita bread was not authentic to me. Over all, it is ok tasting food but I would not say it was authentic Chicago style. More of imitation Chicago Style.

It was so good. We had a party of 11, so we called the day before to make a reservation for 5:00 and they were so accommodating. The food and service was top notch. The only complaint was that it was quite noisy and “echo-y” for those of us with hearing issues, but it’s a fairly old building and they can’t help the acoustic problem. So, we’ll just turn down the hearing aids and enjoy the meal ❤️

The service is most outstanding. They check on you often and are always around if you need something. The food looks delicious but the pizza didn’t melt in my mouth. It’s almost as if they didn’t cook the veggies with the pizza instead they put them on after.

Mugsy’s is great. I love the Italian Sausage. Wife prefers the chicken salad. Kids love the cheesy bacon fries. Pizza is fantastic. Try the hot Giardiniera. It is a taste explosion on the palate. Getting hungry just typing about it. Relaxed and casual atmosphere. Friendly owner and staff. One of my favorites.
