Mariposa coffee is such a special spot to sit and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. I got a perfect Cafecito with their Guava pastry. They do vegan and vegetarian small plates. Plus the environment is a nice spot to sit and do some work or meet a new friend. Stop in this local spot when you are in town.

Beautiful vibey Cafe nestled on a corner right in downtown Santa Cruz! The place is full of plans, colorful lights and bubbling conversations. Staff is friendly, drinks are DELICIOUS, as are the pastries and Vietnamese noodles! 10/10 will frequent whenever I’m in town

Went for the first time today and can’t wait to go back next weekend! We got the table side coffee and it was such a fun experience to have time to chat while it brewed in front of us! The vibe was really great and the owners were super friendly! Everyone around the shop seemed to be enjoying their drinks too! Would highly recommend for a date, with friends, or solo!

My husband and I basically Google best coffee in Santa Cruz before our 2.5 hours drive home up north. We had never tried Cuban coffee and were a little confused as to what and how we order. Chelsea was so friendly and patient when explaining how it was different. My husband and I do really love and appreciate good coffee, but I personally can’t handle too bold of a coffee. She suggested the perfect coffee for me and the first sip brought instant joy and huge smile to my face. Chelsea was incredibly hospitable and we were able to enjoy some great conversation. We will definitely be going back here when we find ourselves in Santa Cruz in again.
