Wow! First time dining here, and now I regret avoiding it for so long. I’ve never cared much for Cajun food, so I was hesitant. But this food is amazing. We tried a little bit of everything, and nothing disappointed – everything is extremely fresh and served piping hot. The Blackened Redfish was my favorite, along with the catfish strips, and crab cake bites. On the insistence of a friend (Thanks, Alex!), we also tried the Boudin Bites and Alligator Bites – things I never would have tried on my own – and LOVED them. My husband also had chicken & sausage gumbo and really enjoyed it. Our daughter got chicken tenders and fries of course, and she loved them too. You can’t go wrong with crinkle fries! The beignets were on point, and to my delight, they even had Coke Zero! The atmosphere is fun, casual upscale bar/pub feel, with NOLA & Mardi Gras & LSU decor. Best of all, everything is clean and the service is top-notch. If you want excellent, personable service, Stephanie is the best! We will definitely be back to The Lost Cajun!

This was our first time to eat at The Lost Cajun! It was so fun & delicious!! We met friends that had been to their Hendersonville location. This location was new just as the pandemic started & they had to close down. So glad they survived & are open for business again!

Stopped for dinner at The Lost Cajun in Mt. Juliet, TN. I’ve heard of this place but my experience has been Cajun + chain restaurants are normally mediocre. I have to say, in this case BIG misconception!!! My server Stephanie got me an Abita Amber while I looked over the menu trying to decide what to have. Pretty solid Cajun menu so I went for it…ordered an appetizer of fried shrimp, the sampler of three different classics and chose Lobster Bisque, Crawfish Etouffeé, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo. For the main meal the Blackened Redfish Algiers…a blackened Redfish fillet served over a bed of Jambalaya rice and covered in a Cajun shrimp cream sauce…”My Oh My”!!!

This was my first time eating here. I enjoyed the food. We had jambalaya, gator bites, Cajun Alfredo with blackened gator, beignets and café qu lait. The food had plenty of flavor the gator bites slightly to much along with Alfredo sauce. But much rather that than bland food. It was all very good. I would recommend it. It took me back to NOLA.

Excellent service from friendly staff as soon as I entered the restaurant. The drinks came quickly and were kept full throughout the meal. The portions were large, and the food was very tasty. If you’re looking for cajun n food outside of New Orleans, this is the place to go!

The food and service are always great. I’ve tried the catfish, gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, shrimp, fried pickles and beignets and I loved it all. Prices are pretty reasonable.

I was referred to the Lost Cajun by a family member who lives in Mt. Juliet. This place was amazing. I asked a couple of the ladies what they recommended and I decided on the Fried BBQ Shrimp Po Boy. They also highly recommended the Red Fin special and the Fried Sample platter. The Po Boy was one of the best I have had and I have been to NO and Baton Rouge. It’s not a traditional barbecue sauce. More of a tangy red glaze paired up with their house remoulade sauce. The shrimp were crispy and sauced just right. The Po Boy and the seasoned fries came out piping hot. The seasoned fries were crispy on the outside and light on the inside with a generous amount of seasoning. I can’t wait to go back. Love to see a local shop offering this quality of food. The price was inline with what I would expect for fresh Cajun food. It’s a little of a specialty . Not fast food, but served very fast for a made to order meal. Keep up the good work guys and gals!
