The owner may not smile a lot but he can sure cook. This is a hidden gem. There are two people that run the establishment, an older man and a younger woman. While the man may not smile as he is, from what I can tell, the cook. The woman that runs the front of house has a smile plastered on her face every single time I am there.

I really like this place! I go here when I’m in town for work travel. The hosts have always been really polite, friendly and helpful when choosing from the menu. The food has good flavor! My most recent dish was the chana masala. I asked for really mild flavor and it was just the right balance of flavor. What my taste buds were looking for! I also had the mixed veggie pakora, which were nice quick flavorful easy to eat bites, while I was driving home and hungry.

For those in the area, pretty good food at a solid value. The menu is full of standard Indian fare that’s plenty tasty, though on two visits the Naan was flavorful but had a taste and texture indicating it could be frozen and heated to order rather than made fresh. That said, Swad’s convenient location and presence on delivery apps warrant a visit or a phone order. The dining room and start are pleasantly warm and informal, too.

Nothing! This place is a poor excuse for a restaurant – seriously , the owner is the biggest jerk in the world- never smiles , gets upset when you don’t order a lot of food or spend alot of money. I went in there to ask the owner about catering and possibly using their restaurant for a BBQ this weekend for my college graduation at my house. The owner simply looks up at me and hands me the menu , I stopped him to start explaining my situation and what I’m looking for .. He literally interrupts me and says no thank you get out! As if I’m selling him something or trying too- yes its a Monday during lunch time of course I’m wearing my work attire shirt n tie!! Seriously this guy needs to get out of tappan I’ve lived here my whole life and I promise you my family and close friends of mine will NEVER eat here. Buyers beware – this industry is called hospitality for a reason. If your not hospitable maybe you should re-evulate your life and your business!
