Celebrated for their thin-crust and diversified pizzas, and toppings ranging from classic to creative, Camelo became one of the most traditional pizza restaurants of São Paulo Brazil.
Opened in 1957, in Pamplona street – Jardins, Camelo started as an Arab restaurant. Six years later, when acquired by the Nóbrega Family, the restaurant underwent significant menu changes and started serving wood-fire pizzas and other special dishes, such as the famous deep fried chicken (a passarinho) and beef sirloin stroganoff.

Very unassuming exterior with heavily tinted windows. Stepped inside and was pleasantly surprised by the upscale decor. The staff were top notch. Noticed while reviewing the limited menu that they had only a few appetizers. Ordered a pepperoni and margarita pizzas. The perfectly cooked thin crust with ample cheese and toppings were out of this world. Finished the meal by sharing lava cake and combo nutella/strawberry and banana dessert pizza. They were both very good. Only the freshest ingredients and quality cheeses are used. Google gives a cost rating of one dollar sign. It should be at least a two if not three due to the price of pizzas (10 inch $21, 12 inch $26, and 14 inch $31). Outstanding quality restaurant that deserves high marks.

We went here with our 8, 5 and 1.5 year old and when we walked in thought we might be in the wrong place with young kids… man we were wrong! The staff was so friendly, and they had multiple sizes of silverware for kids which I don’t think i have ever seem before! Then what really blew us away was when they brought balls of pizza dough out to play with while we were waiting! They had so much fun! Then the food came and we loved it. The kids weren’t huge fans of the sauce or cheese bread (they would’ve been happy with Little Ceasars lol) but we loved it! The waitress was super sweet with the girls and the experience was one of the best we have had with our kids! I would highly reccomend this to any family! Thanks for the great time!

I stopped by here to pick up a couple of pizzas while in the area. I was trying to figure out what makes a Brazilian pizza different from your average slice. If I was to give the answer based off of what I ate today I’d say it’s unique. You taste the freshness in everything from the sauce, cheeses, and shrimp( yes I said shrimp!!). It’s Wierd to say but the 3 cheese was probably the cheesiest pizza I’ve ever eaten! It was hard to pick a pizza because they had tons of options!

Well I wanted a meat lovers pizza. I ordered a meat lovers. All the meat is minced except the Canadian ham I think? I can’t really taste anything but the ham. A ton of ham bunched up in some places. The ham taste is overwhelming. It’s just ok. The crust is great though.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. The open space concept makes it family friendly and comfortable. Hours are super helpful for travelers. seating is comfortable. Now for the food …. omg it is so yummy everything was tasty. Also all the waiters were so attentive kept our waters refilled and our drinks. Made sure we had everything we needed and great descriptions of all menu items.simply one of my new favorites . Food was so yummy my family didn’t even allow me to take photo but rip to that pizza we will see them all again

Camelo pizzaria makes the best pizza in Orlando. The pizza tastes just like in São Paulo (Brazil) where I would go to have pizza every Sunday. They have won several pizza awards in Brasil. You gotta try, it’s a fine pizza with real ingredients. The service is excellent. I almost cried when I heard they opened in Orlando. It’s worth to go to International Drive if you don’t live close by the tourist area.
