Cantonese Chinese food like I remember from the 60’s. I been passing this establishment for over 50 years and always wondered how the food was. It wasn’t until recently I decided to give it a try after hearing a food critic on the radio mention this place as one to try. First, let me say, I’ve been to every notable Chinese restaurant from Kenner to New Orleans for over 50 years and can say I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food is here. I will say it’s above average for flavor, quality, quantity and service. Here you can get a combination dinner for under $14.00 that includes soup, shrimp fried rice, egg roll and entree. The hot and sour soup was the best I have ever eaten. Egg rolls are average, however, the fried rice and entrees are above average. Huge entree portions that accompany the combination plates that are as large as the entree if ordered alone. The Kung Pao chicken was excellent and the sauce was very flavorful and sufficient as were the fresh veggies that dressed the dish. I have had the shrimp and lobster sauce and the dish brought me back to the days where you could find the way that Cantonese food is supposed to be made. I just wish I would have tried this place years ago- as for now- it’s my go-to place for Chinese food.

Stepping through the doors is stepping back into the 60s in all the best ways. The dining room is spacious but cozy, the portions are generous, and the food is outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed, will be visiting again and bringing friends.

The atmosphere was not very inviting and the dining room doubles as storage. The place didn’t feel aired out properly. I ordered the kung pao chicken and it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. When a Chinese restaurant uses canned mushroom that’s a red flag. I must say, however, that their egg drop soup with the fried noodles on the side was pretty tasty. And they serve their dinner in a divided plate (see photo), I mean come on! But not going back anytime soon.

The food is always fresh and hot. Not warmed in a microwave hot. My kids love this place. The staff is friendly and we dont feel out of place when we do visit. I actually took my son when he had a half day at school, and then the rest wanted to try it out. Give it a try. They are good.

Oriental Triangle Chinese Restaurant served delicious Chinese food. The rice is one of the top 5 in New Orleans due to its inclusions of a variety of flavors opposed to just eggs and rice. The egg drop soup is delicious!!! The beef and onions were very fresh.

Although it is the first time to order food from this restaurant. The food is very rotten. Everyone said that the kale beef only needs kale, but they still put carrots and water chestnuts, and the boiled kale flowers all fell off.

Food was mediocre! Dining room closed from 2:30 – 5:00 weekdays and you had to wait for someone to come to the take out window. I did not enjoy food or service at window!

Solid American-style Chinese food. Good value for the price, especially at lunch.
