I lived in Venezuela for 6 years. I wanted to try Arepa TX when I found out about the place. I ordered the Picana (sp) Arepa. I wasn’t impressed at all. The meat was so full of fat that it wasn’t edible and the flavor wasn’t very good. Threw half of it away and could barely eat the other half. I also got tequenos and fried yuca. The tequenos were good and the fried yuca was the best part of my $35 order. I hate to say it but I won’t return.

We normally get the sandwiches, which can be very tasty. We’ve had a little trouble with consistency though, and sometimes you can get some big chunks of fat or the meat can be a little dry. But overall, a decent place to stop for a bite of lunch. Gluten free options for those that need it.

What a great find! I was looking for a gluten free place to eat and found this place. The restaurant is very bright and clean, the restroom is very bright and clean, and the staff is very friendly and attentive and greets you like you are family. The are really good at explaining the food and making suggestions. Now the best part, the food. It is a wonderful variety of choices and has a lot of gluten free options all clearly marked on the menu.

After taking the train to grapevine main street, I saw the food hall in HH and walked inside to explore the food. This one looked appealing to me, so I took a chance to try their $16 grilled chicken bowl, thinking it’d be as great or even better than Chipotle. The food looked great, but a tiny one for $16. Very little chicken and everything else. Skip the “nacho” for your own good, it’s just an overpriced version of cheap tortilla chips with velveeta cheese. I’m skipping this place if I ever go back to HH.

Inside harvest hall, has a choice of several restaurants. Arepas were wonderful. Tried the brisket and grilled chicken arepas and the plantain side and yuca side. Plantains were sweet and perfectly cooked. Yuca was kinda like a steak fry. Could tell the food was freshly made but still came out quickly. Arepas are about the size of a hamburger so be prepared!

All the sauces are amazing. Portions very generous. Vegetarians can do well here, but it is harder to avoid the dairy if you’re vegan. Just let them know, they made the corn without butter for us; thanks.

Never tried an arepa before so I don’t know what to compare it to. I ordered the brisket arepa and it was yummy although I didn’t finish the whole arepa (it was very filling). I loved the fresh avocado and tiny bits of plantain chips that came with it. Food wasn’t too special; I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if you’re in the area, it doesn’t hurt to try this place out. Lady who served me was friendly too!

Very good! Excellent service. The sangria and Yuca fries were dangerously good. Venezuelan fusion food is how it was described to me. Empanadas more Colombian. Everything was delish, and I would go again. I loved that they had an area in the back where kids can play. Makes it easier for parents to actually go out!! I wish there would have been something like this when my kiddos were smaller.

Maybe it was a bad day, but $5 tacos are tiny and just mediocre at best. Chicken meat was dry and tough with little flavor. Guacamole was ok. Way overpriced for the portions and quality of food.
