Finally got to come have dinner at The 1901, and it did not disappoint! Delicious food, with generous portions and wonderful and attentive service. My dad had the ribeye and my mom and I both got the filet mignon. We also shared the artichoke for our appetizer, it was tender and very flavorful. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

I am hoping to bump this up to a 5-star soon. The food was delicious, ambiance was great. Bread pudding was like no other.

If you’re looking for that perfect low key, not a lot of people to bother you and your lover, so you can sit in a dark corner, sipping something delicious and reigniting that little spark, look no further! It’s got a restaurant upstairs if you’re looking for a more formal dinner experience but the vibes downstairs can’t be beat. The bartender on Wednesdays is the best so try to sit at the bar to see him in action. This is a must try if you’re in the downtown Oxnard area

It was my first time there. I liked the atmosphere and they had live music. The bartenders were friendly and they had a wide variety of hard liquor.I liked their chicken spring rolls but I was disappointed in the garlic parmesan fries. They were over seasoned and over cooked and tough to chew.

-Went to the 1901 Speakeasy at Heritage Square at night (and went by the next day for coffee). Had a delicious white wine from Oregon that is now my new favorite (see pic)

Great craft drinks, friendly bartender. Live band on weekends. Small but cozy. Nicely decorated to fit the speakeasy theme. Great place for after dinner drinks or you can order dinner and have it there.

The food was good. There needs to be a time separation between getting appetizers and the main course, not all brought out at the same time. Service wasn’t the best, but the waiter did the best she could given the crowd.

Four of us were there on May 24 to celebrate a birthday and the service and food was great. The only complaint I have is the small sample of wine given as a glass of wine, it felt like an amount that would have been comfortable in a shot glass.
