My husband, my in laws and I tried this for the first time last weekend. The food was mediocre. We had high hopes as we love supporting smaller businesses. We just weren’t big fans.

2nd try back after the worst smoked chicken ever. This time 1/2 lb Pulled pork was half fat and disgusting. Fried Okra was full of grease. They burned something and it was full of smoke and smelled bad inside. Food and service used to be alot better, not sure what happened here. But the peach cobbler is still great.

As I travel the country I’m always open to finding a Hidden Gem, especially if it involves BBQ. Their is potential with this place, but they are still missing the mark. The meat was smoked well but could be paired with better sauces and sides. The green beans were a delightful surprise. The best thing I can say about that atmosphere, is the yelling from the trailer park across the street was kept to a minimum.

My new favorite place! Best BBQ in NC hands down! Ugh I crave it all the time! I always get the pulled pork and it’s amazing! My husband loves the brisket! It’s so juicy and their barbecue sauce is the best I ever had!

Nice rustic decor. Service was very personal. The brisket was very flavorful and tender. The chopped brisket have a wonderful smoke flavor. The pulled pork was vinegar based just the way i liked it. The bbq ribs were the star of the show. The dry rub was perfect you could see the smoke ring within the rib. The bbq sauce was located on the table, basically self service. And that’s good because no one wants over sauced ribs. The whole experience was wonderful i will be back.

Very good BBQ! It’s definitely very filling and they give you a lot. The stew is slightly spicy and good. The chopped brisket sandwich was great and the bread was homemade( I think). The staff is very friendly and come check on you.

We went down for lunch and lucked out it being a burnt ends day. Our brisket sandwiches were slabs of juicy, smokey flavorful meat. The vinegar based sauce we could apply was just the cherry on top of a marvelous eat.
