Nice place for Mexican food. Service can get slow depending when you get there, but everyone is pleasant.

If you’re looking for a Mexican Restaurant in the Pittsboro area with authentic seasoning, I’d consider looking again. My family and I went here last Friday to celebrate my new job because the reviews online made the food seem enticing and design theme. Unfortunately it fell flat in the flavor profile. I ordered the Passion Margarita which lacked alcohol and the fruits used tasted like they were ripe or went bad. For appetizers we had the Guacamole Live which was delicious! It’s made freshly in front of and customizable to your liking. I also had the Spinach and Shrimp Dip that resembled to a seasonless cheese soup with shrimp and spinach as an after thought. For entrees we ordered a Shrimp Chimichanga, Camarones Al Mojo, Parrillada, and burrito Azteca. Once again my shrimp was bland and Chimichanga didn’t have cheese like it’s known for having, so it was dry. The Camarones had semi burnt shrimp, and salty rice. The burrito Azteca was the only flavorful dish of the evening. Aside from the food, the customer service was great. We were sitting outside, since the weather had finally warmed up, but we got invaded by flies, so we asked our waitress to change tables and they accommodated us.

I’ve never left a review anywhere ever but was so disappointed with this meal that I felt it necessary. I got the carne asada to go for $27 after a $2 tip. It came with one bite of pico, one bite of brown guac, and the smallest piece of steak I’ve ever been served by a restaurant. The steak was tough and cold. Also, the tortillas were hard as a brick.

Food is always 10 out of 10 as well as the drinks. I like to switch it up every time i go and they never fail with fresh, hot, well plated, and amazing. The staff is so kind and on top of things. You will never go without drink in your glass. It’s a kid friendly environment and well as dog friendly outside dining. I recommend trying this place out when you’re in Pittsboro. While you’re there if you sit outside there is a Basil apartment building called The Guild, it’s amazing you should check it out if you’re looking for a place to live!

The staff is so great here, always kind and helpful. The food is delicious (especially the flautas) and they have the best salsa. Our favorite place to eat in the area!

Had a table on the patio on a nice summer evening. Food was very good! Fresher and less greasy than the usual American Mexican fare. I’m veg and the veg options were tasty (my wife and I both got a different plate). Asked for a side of spicy salsa and it was very tasty. Margs weren’t bad either. Overall a great outing; will visit again.
