The atmosphere is great. The food and service were not on par for the price. We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The drinks took a very long time to come out. The salads were missing dressing. The steaks were not prepared correctly. When sent back the steak came back so well done it was not edible.

The Escondido Grill offered the unique experience that we were looking for. The atmosphere was completely picturesque and there was a singer playing outside so you were able to enjoy the comforts of inside or venture outside to eat and listen to music. The food was full of delicious flavor and was very filling. Overall, the cost was not bad at all.

Last night was the 4th or 5th time coming to eat here and I’ve given it plenty of chances. Service is consistently slow, especially if they are busy. The food is not that great, good but not mind blowing and it’s really the atmosphere people go for, I think. Last night I ordered Bruschetta and having lived in Europe for most of my childhood I can tell you this place has no understanding of what bruschetta is. They brought me a plastic to-go container with what looked like salsa… no bread crackers, balsamic, or mozzarella. I tasted it and it was hot and tasted like spaghetti sauce…. Not bruschetta in the slightest. The chicken fried steak was good, but the corn tasted like it has been in a warming tray for most of the day… flavor was good, just didn’t seem fresh.

Didn’t get a picture of the food because I forgot but the food was amazing. The surf and turf was on point and my wife’s ribeye was equally perfect. The manager made a stop at our table to check on us and overall I loved this place. Definitely coming back because you can’t find food like this in Lubbock. Check it out and take time to check out the scenery.

I visited here for the first time in December for a dinner date with another couple and loved it. We got the devil eggs and spinach dip for our appetizer and I got the steak with mash and broccoli. Everything tasted good and fresh. The strawberry mojito was delicious

Absolutely delicious, what a beautiful place! Live music, friendly conversation, and the bartender, Alex, was wonderful! I had shrimp and grits, and the brisket deviled eggs. Outstanding, food, quality, beautiful presentation. I will definitely be back!

My salad was delicious and I enjoyed it. My daughter enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich with brisket and my husband enjoyed the pozole. The service was lacking but I think it’s because they were short staffed. The place was beautiful and I wish we could have seen it during the day instead of an hour away from close up time. Everything on the menu sounds delicious! I almost ordered the Fried Brisket Mac appetizer as my meal:)
