A friend and I visited Intermezzo on a Wednesday night for dinner. The dining room is small, but it wasn’t busy. We sat at a cozy two top. The waitress was young, perhaps new, but very sweet and patient. My friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a year, so we were busy talking. We each had a delicious glass of wine, red and white. She had lasagna, I had the chicken parmigiana. We were only able to eat half and brought the rest home. The waitress brought delicious focaccia bread to the table before our meals. Having a seasoned olive oil for dipping would be a great addition to that. All in all, I would definitely visit again. This was my first time of (I predict) many to come.

My wife took me there as a late Father’s day dinner. It was a surprise of a new restaurant that we had never tried before. I was pretty excited to try. We walked in and the place was a little less than half full. We were seated immediately, given menus, and the bread came out shortly after. We were given ample time to review the menu, and put them down as we had made our selection. There seemed to be two waitresses working a total of several tables. Uncertain as to why, but we seemed to immediately be their least favorite table. Aside from the bus boys, the waitresses paid us no attention. They did however, walk past several times to check the same table behind us, not just one, but both waitresses checking on the same table. I tried to smile so they would come over, but they refused to turn their head in our direction even. As i ate a piece of my semi decent bread, i waited to be asked if we would like anything to drink, or if we were ready to order, but it never came. Not even someone acknowledging us, and letting us know they would be over to take our order. Honestly, for the amount of people in the place, it was absurd. It is a pizza place at best, and possibly we were hispanic, or had a small child, the two waitresses avoided eye contact altogether. Shame on them. On a positive note, we ate at Robke’s instead, and I am positive that the food was much better, so maybe i should be thanking Intermezzo. Thank you

As for Pizza slices to go, ive never seen a plain slice with zero spices in top, I put my own on once home. The pepperoni slice is good, pretty floppy crust on both. Unfortunately this is the second time I got shorted in change, it wasn’t much and I’ve heard they hire some form of disabled people so I let it go again. Young guy, tall skinny short blinding hair, no people skills. If I go again I’m going to have to ask for the correct change, its right there on the display so im not sure how it happens.

Take linguini w/clam sauce off menu…brings your average down…overcooked pasta, a mix of canned/frozen clams….need to have the cockles in there…in fairness everything else was great! Yeah so the score is lower due to the clams…also the class oreganata, not good…sauce was good, the actual class were stinky…gamey…

Had a pleasant experience here tonight with our family of 4. We had a not so great dinner experience down the road at another pizza place in Northport and we left that restaurant hungry as the food was inedible. We stopped at Intermezzo on our way back home and we were so happy that we did. We had already eaten a little bit at the previous restaurant so I we weren’t really here to order full meals. I ordered tomato soup and dessert and my family ordered only dessert. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The soup was great and the dessert was great as well. Can’t wait to come back to order full entrees as the menu looked really appealing. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because my dessert came out prior to my soup.

This is a hidden gem. Food is wonderful, and wait staff friendly and accommodating. This was my third time eating at Intermezzo, and the food was great each time.

We frequent intermezzo every Friday night while my daughter takes voice lessons next-door. The food is always exceptional. There is always a wide variety of pizza slices. They are pasta is always cooked to perfection. If you’re lucky enough to meet one of the owners you’ll feel like you’re talking to your Italian grandmother during Sunday meal. This past Friday was exceptional that upon receiving our takeout order when we arrive home we realize that there were some items missing. Before I had a chance to even pick up the phone All missing items were delivered to my door along with a gift card for the same amount that we had spent. I’m so impressed by the customer service and the kindness of the honor for this gesture. Intermezzo has always been one of my favorite places to dine and now it’s one of my well respected places as well.
