A local person recommended this place, so we tried it and loved it. I had the meatball sandwich loved the sauce and the bread is so soft and chewy. They have a great assortment of sandwiches, took me awhile to decide. service is very fast and was a nice comfortable place to enjoy dinner. the picture of my meatball sandwich is half eaten already

Order here few times.. and first time wasn’t bad.. as I continue to order here!! It really shows they true colors!! I always get gyro cheeseburger and few times I got them lately it was nasty asl.. had to throw it out!! Ask for ketchup and did not revived it also burnt burger as well.. TODAYS MARKS MY LAST TIME SPENDING MY HARD EARN MONEY!! At this place tried to give them chances after a few mess ups no more!!

Food was great and we didn’t have to wait long to get our food. The atmosphere is outdated but we love that about this place. Gives it character for sure! Will definitely eat here again when we come back to Charleston. I highly recommend the gyro!

Great place to go when you’re craving meat. The food is good overall, but I’m partial to the Combo Beef and Sausage. Would like to see them branch out a little and offer a Chicago style beef with red sauce and mozzarella. Burgers are pretty great and they’ve got the best gyro in town. Get onion rings for your side.

Saw a Google review of the roast beef at this location, I stopped in,.. the gentleman behind the counter informed me of the menu he made me feel welcomed, I ordered the Philly such a yummy sandwich, meat grilled and seasoned to make a huge impact on your taste buds, 1st time I’d had waffle fries in a very long time, hot inside, golden delicious outside, I will say everyone in the place seemed like they had been there before no tables were open so if that doesn’t say something about the food for a lunch time rush I don’t know what does, thank you for a great meal!

I have always ordered the grilled chicken or a cheeseburger which are both equally delicious, but today I stepped out of my box and ordered the philly cheesesteak … OMGOSH out of this world good ! The delivery is always fast and the food hot. The waffle fries and onion rings are never soggy. Great place, great service, GREAT food .

Overall, this place is great!!! Mark is a great person and we gladly support this business. My review is based on the last three late night delivery orders. For some reason, the cook must hate the onion rings! The picture tells the whole tale as they are burnt to a crisp and simply inedible. We’ve had the onion rings numerous times during a day delivery and they’re great! I know with Covid things are hard and good help harder to find. We are thankful that Joeys is still in business, however this needs to get corrected.

This place should be boarded up, and shut down. Then turned into a museum cause it’s a piece of history, for me. I’m a truck driver from Atlanta, stopped here to eat cause why not? Got a Philly, went to my truck to eat it. Next thing I know I’m back inside ordering another one. Got the onion rings and corn dog too this time. I highly recommend all three. 10/10, if I’m ever back in Illinois, it’s only to come here, eat, then leave. Staff was super nice too.

I want to rave about a local business for a little second. I appreciate good customer service and to really be able to SEE and FEEL that the customer is important. Joey’s Place in Charleston are all that, and more. Mark Grant has done a fantastic job, not only with the delicious homemade bread, and turkey burgers, and gyro’s and cheeseburgers and corn dogs (okay this is embarrasing) but also has a great staff! Thank you Elijah, for delivering my lunch in the pouring down rain with a smile on your face and I hope you remember to use the drive thru next time.
