I know bbq. I do a lot of barbecue at home. I’ve got several smokers including an $8000 gravity feed competition smoker. The family stopped here for lunch as we were doing other things in Rogersville today. We got the 4 meat sample platter with 2 sides and we ordered an extra side. The brisket was phenomenal. The ribs were good but a little dry on the outside. The burnt ends were great. The pulled pork lacked flavor and was kind of dry. The sauces were great and they give you plenty. All in all we were very happy with the meal and service. We will definitely be returning, and I would definitely recommend them for some good smoked meat. People in the reviews complaining about the meat being over smoked probably just haven’t had meat from a stick burner, as most restaurants use a commercial propane powered smoker. The flavor is more intense with stick burners.

Best BBQ in the country! Get the sampler to try the different meats. Make sure to try the pulled pork, brisket, ribs and don’t forget the mac and cheese! 9 awesome different sauces, various perfectly cooked meats, awesome sides! When in Rogersville its a must do if you like BBQ! For those who don’t eat meat- try all the sides! The great food is accompanied by great service! Certainly one of my favorite places that I’ve ever eaten at.

Hi, where do I begin! I am not a person to take the time to do reviews! But!! I have to , because 28 dls is a lot of money out of my paycheck. I wanted to treat a friend to lunch so I had read reviews for Big H and said gonna try it, we ordered. The sample platter, with 2 sides, tater salad, slaw, and I ordered fried squash and 2 Desserts, my 3 meat choice was pulled pork, brisket, ribs, Oh my gosh!!!!! Pork was so Dry with sauce even all shredded and dry, gross , couldn’t swallow it, brisket was soo thick and rubbery, no flavor, ribs were really dry and hard, squash was undercooked with raw batter inside, I am sooo ! Disappointed at the fact they served me this? And charge what they charge to. I know that people probably eat it cuz there is no other BBQ for miles from here, and they figure no completion ? And don’t care what they serve. I’m just very disappointed. I posted this on their Facebook page with pictures, this won’t let me post pics

Had a really good BBQ pork sandwich and onion rings. Good food!! The dining room is currently closed, but they have a walk-up window where you can order. There are tables set up along the covered porch to eat at, weather permitting.

Had lunch with out of state client here today. Pulled pork sandwich and french fries were both great! BBQ sauce was really nice too! Nice place to eat and they had much more on the menu, I’ll be back.

Was good price but just paid $27 and got 2 sandwiches and the special $6 for a bacon egg and cheese I can’t do that. Don’t know why they went up so much.
