Maybe I’m not the one to ask, since I’ve only been coming here for parts of 7 decades…but, honestly…I cannot think of a better place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. The food is consistently great, and at ridiculously low prices.

I have went to City lunch since I was very young. Their food has always been great. Their hotdogs and cheeseburgers are my favorites!!! I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. People are always so friendly and most of the time you’ll run into someone you know and get to catch up for a hot while you eat

From Ft Lauderdale visiting a close friend living in Lincolnton, and we stopped in for breakfast. Loved the small town vibe, food was GREAT, and I was pleasantly shocked at the price for the breakfast special compared to what I pay in the big city. Can’t beat it!

There’s just something their hotdog with chili, slaw and mustard that can’t be explained. Onion’s on a hotdog is a personal preference but I usually leave them off. None of the ingredients overpower the taste which for me makes it my all-time favorite hotdog. If you’re from Lincolnton and you were raised on City Lunch hotdogs you know exactly what I’m talking about. Can’t beat the prices either!
