Decent coffee, amazing food! In my opinion this place gave me a early 00’s vibe which I totally loved when sitting down and writing my essay. I had the avocado toast with a hard boiled egg which was great along with a vanilla iced coffee. The staff was friendly and nice. I’ll be coming here more often when I’m in town again! Thanks for a experience!

Such a cozy and inviting spot! I usually go for the veggie wrap which is so good and all of the coffee drinks are great! Love all the plants and the staff could not be friendlier! Great addition to Fort Madison and SE Iowa!

Loved the atmosphere! The coffee was on point! And the lemon donut was the best of the best! I’m from out of town but I will tell others to make sure they stop on there way through to try it!

Tasty food, delicious coffee, & warm, friendly service. The lattes with their syrups are the best in town. They also have a little shop with some cute items like notebooks, candles, pins, etc. I love all the real plants scattered throughout the place, it makes it feel inviting.

You can’t talk about food in Fort Madison too long without someone bringing up the chicken salad sandwich here at Swed. That’s for good reason. That chicken salad is unbelievably delicious. It’s served in this wonderful soft croissant that is more tender than flaky. Their pasta salad that I also tried has a bounce to the texture that is sometimes hard to retain, but it was great. Lastly I also had a wonderful example of the London Fog. They add a little lavender honey to theirs and it lends a nice floral-herbal note that plays very nicely with the bergamot. Next time I pass through town I will be looking to return and have a nice drink in such a charming, modern coffee shop.

It’s a wonderful little place, sort of a ‘hole in the wall’, but those are the best places. The owner is very sweet and kind, and the employees are also kind and recognize both new and returning customers, starting up a conversation (if they have the time), and talking with you with genuine interest. I hope that more options for food comes soon, but what they have so far is perfect for a little bite to eat. I love coming here and working, the atmosphere helps me get into my zone, and I am able to work on my different projects. Its really become my favorite coffee place.

Stepping into Swed & Co. Coffee is hands down the best thing you can do while visiting Fort Madison. The shop itself is impressively built and welcoming. You can come in to work, do homework, bring in the family, or just grab a cup to go. The coffee is roasted on-site, so it is always fresh, and their food menu is top notch. Will definitely be visiting again while in town!

Been to this awesome little coffee shop twice now. We’ll make it a point to visit whenever we’re in town. The drinks were amazing and the donuts were even better.

This coffee shop was awesome. The atmosphere was friendly and the owner and baristas were very nice. The drip coffee was great, and so was the Americano. Food was also delicious. We got the pork pita and all loved it. Highly recommend stopping by here if you get the chance!
