Lovely place with great dishes and drinks! Came in for dinner over the weekend and the service was great, food quick. Kids meals are also decent. Thought the prices were pretty decent. The outside deck has a great view and would be lovely in the summer.

I love this place! I recently moved to Old Town, and I’ve been to the Boom House six or seven times. I order something different every time I go, and I have never been disappointed! All of their food is amazing, and the staff is always friendly. I just had the lobster stew for the first time, and I cannot even put into words how delicious it was. I’ve found the comfort food that I’ll be binging on this winter! Eat here, you won’t regret it!

Arrived at 7 with a large party. The food was good, however several people in our party did not receive their meal at all. The last meal was served after everyone else was done eating. We do not fault the waitress. She did an exceptional job, however she was required to wait on many other tables at the same time that she was handling our party. The restaurant was not prepared for a party of our size, and we were not the only large party.

We were excited to see a restaurant finally open in this location again, that we decided to give it a try. We went for lunch on a Saturday and the place was relatively quiet. The food was okay, but nothing too special. Drink prices were a bit high for the location. Our table was dirty, the service was decent. The decor was interesting – there’s a huge saw blade near the entrance. Overall, not a bad place, but it seems like just your typical pub restaurant.

The food was amazing. Perfectly cooked and delicious, but the service is always slow here. They rarely have more than 2-3 people working on week days and it shows. Our server was awesome and super friendly

Food was excellent. Service was great but I would recommend they provide a list of beers on tap rather than just what is available in bottles. The deck leads right to a lovely park…would have been perfect if they welcomed our dog to join us.

This place certainly has potential but on a slow Tuesday night they didn’t show much interest. Arrived at 5:40 to an almost empty place (1 person at the bar, one deuce and another single finishing up). We were a 4 top. 10 mins after us a party of 3 arrived. The meal took 45 minutes to hit the table. My son said it was the best fried haddock he’d ever had. Daughter had tasty Mac n cheese. Wife had a panic pick and ordered a chicken casa which was passable. I had a burger, ordered medium, arrived hockey puck done and cold which accompanied the cold fries nicely. Not sure what, out of that order, resulted in 45 minute wait time. The 3 top did get their food first and they had 2 burgers and a sandwich. 10 minutes after we were finished still no sign of our server. Finally appeared again so that I could pay and leave. Perhaps the Boom house really thumps during the summer but with a sweet bar setup and game one of the world series only drawing a handful of people I’d say they’d be better off taking a break to recharge for next year.

Great pizza! Other than that the service SUCKS! Every time I go, there is something in my order messed up. Long wait times for food to be made. …plenty of time for getting a few beers down. Wait staff needs more training and should be told to not lie to the customers about why wait time is so long!

Would have been 5 stars, but last 2 times we’ve gone here, their Chili I ordered was cold upon arrival (and my wife’s soup was cold also) Their poutine is the best we’ve had though, and that’s what keeps bringing us back. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, just wish their Chili was hot upon arrival. It’s a necessity for cold weather foods in Maine.
