Loved Miss Chi! The cheeseburger dumplings were fun and I loved the amount of fresh Dill in the pork dumplings. The Lo mein dish was very pretty but the noodles themselves were kind of bland.

We came for the jumbo cheeseburger potstickers, but the REAL star was the *Lu Rou Mein! It is a beautiful, colorful dish of veggies (fresh and pickled) with pork belly over a bed of thick egg noodles. I would come back just for this! 5/5

I love this place. The food is quality and affordable. The location, great. It is single-diner friendly. The location is great for people watching. Airy and well lit. Also the staff is small but rock solid. Dine in highly recommended.

Honestly I believe this restaurant is underrated. Clean dining environment, welcoming servers, tasty food, reasonable price. What can I ask more about a restaurant? I saw some negative reviews saying that the food isn’t authentic such as the duck dish. I mean, it’s never advertised as Peking duck so why would you expect it to taste like Peking duck? They are totally different dishes.

Everything is pretty solid here. We’ve tried the cheeseburger dumplings, a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on scallion pancakes, their cold sesame noodles and the tofu salad. It’s impressive. But the thing with this place is that because it’s run by a celebrity chef, everything is just a little too overpriced to justify coming back. If everything was $2-3 cheaper, I would consider coming back here. But $16 for three cheeseburger dumplings is not worth it. Sorry y’all.

Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed. I wanted to love this place, but the food just wasn’t flavorful. It’s an interesting new take on traditional Chinese dishes. The fried rice was okay. I ordered different dishes and appetizers from the menu with some friends. We all tried everything and the consensus was that none of us would be eager to come back. The Duck in particular wasn’t good and their recommend Orange Chicken was very dry. They did have great Sparkling water though.

Unfortunately I want to love this place but the prices are so high, it’s not worth the quality or quantity of the food. If everything was $2-3 cheaper, I’d give it another shot. But literally the cost of 3 dumplings was $16. Sadly you should pass on this place and go to the other much more affordable places in Culver City neighborhood!

So first let me say I’m a huge fan of Chef Shirley and it took a lot for me not to completely fan-girl when I saw her. If it weren’t for COVID, I certainly would have asked for a photo. Nevertheless, wow, the food was great. The Brussels are an absolute must – they were roasted perfectly and so flavorful and a bit spicy (delicious). We also had the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and salt and pepper shrimp. The food was so good we never even had the chance to take photos! We also ordered drinks which were good as well. The service was great and you can also purchase KN95 masks there! I will be back for dinner one day.
